How much weight difference is there? Is the AGM version mostly steel or alu?

Looks to be a a scale hair smaller than the Shoei and not an exact copy.

Looks to be a a scale hair smaller than the Shoei. I thought the same thing at first, however I think it's just the angle the photo was taken. Hard to tell.

It's the angle. I saw it with me own eyes today.

The rear sight mounts look a little different. BTW this totally warrants becoming a body builder and then dual-wielding them

For 1/4 of the Shoei's price, its a steal!
Nice, Gordak, wonder which you'll use?

I think while aesthetically it has a few short comings compared to a Real or even Shoei Mp-44 I think this is a great step forward for WW2 airsoft! I plan to buy one simply to support the WW2 airsoft market...and also because the STG-44 looks cool as hell lol.

Mine has finally arrived and I pick it up tomorrow from the distributor... How and the heck can it make it all the way to the US and EU before Hong Kong I'll never know... Yes I'm bitching but hopefully not so after tomorrow.
Any how, I'll be doing a full teardown review for Checksix so stay tuned

Damn! his waiting game s**k! I want mine now! Looks like the angle of the pistol grip is a bit different..And the smallish triggerguard makes it look sort of aestetichaly unbalanced if u get me..The Shoei looks better but the AGM looks good enough!

shoei lowcaps do not fit in the AGM, but the agm highcaps fit in the shoei, Im sure you could modify them though, to go either way.
they are same size, same lenght, just the agm has a much smaller trigger ring and handle, usually covered by your hand anyway. -Gordak

The rear sight mounts look a little different. I too noticed that, the shoei's dust cover is flipped up thats all. although the diffrences are a bit disconcerting, I still may buy one.I am Rather pleases agm has decided to continue its work on WWII airsoft guns. AGM, I applaud you.

The gun looks great, seems better than the Ultima it evan has a moving bolt although the finish looks just plain odd on it. If you put a repro stock on it and alter the finish it will look a lot better of course. (also there is a repro (it says MP43/44) stock on ebay with grip panels as well)

Very good news on the motor cage, one of the biggest downfalls of the v2 mechbox.

Wow, 300 BBs? That's not a lot given how big the magazine is. And, wow 449 FPS out of the box?

I'm just curious: why do you compare the gas/ compressed air version to the electric version? It makes no sense since AGM built their Mp44 on the electric version of Shoeis. I.e., Shoei has both a gas and electric version, where to my understanding the electric version is identical to AGM's.
