Here she is, all finished and ready to apply the primer coats on. I have two parts I still need to attach and that is the front lever and the selector switch. The gun and the front assembly is so sturday that I am able to attach a sling to it and carry it around via the sing if need I have too!!! You all may be interested in what I will do for mags. I have decided that I will buy one BAR mag and put the M-14 highcap mag into it and then use that mag for pics and when I need to use the highcap. But I will not be doing that for any other mag. I will simply be buying low cap M-14 mags and using them as it. I dont haver the $360 I have determined it will cost me to mag 12 BAR mags using reall BAR mags and low cap M-14 mags. TommyGunner

That is looking pretty sweet. Far better than I thought the Cushman could be made to look anyways. I'm anxious to see it all painted up and ready for action.

That's a remarkable effort. It's amazing that you were able to do it and that it will all apparently hold together. I wonder how it will fair from the trama of skirmish play? I'm anxious to see your final finish work which based on your modeling history I'm sure will be very nice.
It's been fun following your progress.

Thanks I got the primer put on and she looks great. I have some areas I still want to continue to finish before I put on the finishing gun metal coat. I test fired it today and got a friend to run around with my Thompson while I used the BAR. I really creamed him. The AGM M-14 outranges the my TM M1928, not by much but deffinatly enough to compete with even some springer rifles that the Germans may be sporting at the next midwest event.
This project has been amazing I am really happy with how it has turned out, and I cant wait to start the Grease Gun now. I probably will end up building another BAR Actually and I will use the Cushman kit again. This time however sicne I knwo know hwo the internals will be set up I will only use the reciver from the Cushman kit. I will buy a BAR rear stock and Front hand guard (a bit more pricey but it will produce better looks. I will attahc a steel barrel on the gun also. Everything else will be fabricated as this one was. This project is after I build another Springfield to use and possibly build an M1 Garand. I may start it this next winter.

Thanks this build has been really really fun. I want to build another. Since the Grease Gun and my new project (a Lee Enfield rifle) Will be compleated over Spring break, I will make another BAR During the summer. This time I will use only the Cushman reciver from the cushman kit. I will use a reall composite BAR stock (they are not too expensive only about $40-$60) a metal outer barrel and a Wooden front grip (made myself). The rear and front sights will be again fabricated as will the parts that attach to the reciver. If I do build and finish the next BAR I may end up selling this one, but that wont be till the summer though and not until the next one is finished.

I'll go ahead and answer that for Tommy since I sent him the base gun. 330 FPS with 20 gram and 308FPS with .25 gram.
Unless he added a custom barrel or something that shouldn't have changed at all.

I have to say that alot of his kits have potential. Infact Im going to buy a front end to his brand new Lee Enfield SMLE replica he is offering and use that in my Lee enfield build. Here is a link to the page. www.cushmanpaintball.com/ReplicaLeeEnfield.htmlTommyGunner

I must say your efforts are a great advertisement for Cushman. I, like alot of other people, are anxious to see close up shots of the gun after you've applied your final magic to it. I'm confident it will look quite good and know how much work you have dedicated to it along with skill and expertise.
It's doubtful most others could replicate your results.

Im hopeing that close up shots of the finished gun will come soon also. I am returning home this weekend to attend reenactor fest so I will be able to do some more finishing work on the BAR. I hope to have the gun fully primed and ready for the Gun metalizer finish which I have to go out and buy a crap load of paint to do (Im using the small Tamiya model paints)
I am also goign to start on the Enfield this weekend by modifying the VSR-10 stock and placing an order with Cushman for an enfield front end. Also I have been in contact with Cushman for about two days now and he is a great guy, he has alot of ideas for some very very neat projects (Ones that Im gonna build in airsoft when he releases them) and some that have never been offered as an airsoft gun before for WW2/WW1.
He plans to release a Boyt Anti Tank rifle, and I plan to instal a highpowered Gas operated 8mm bolt action airsoft rilfe into it!! He wants to release it during the summer and thats when I want to build it.
I am very excited for all of his upcomming releases and I cant wait to build them. One of the great things about using these kits is that the cost per gun to build is sooooooo low that I am able to set aside funds to realistically build all the weapons that I want to set out to build. And who cares if a little elbow grease is needed to make one of his guns...........hell I just might have the only airsoft Boyt Anit tank rifle ever made then......when I make it.
