Yeah. Mainly an inside joke between the 1337 Veterans from the Bulge Event. Does anyone have any .45 ammo, I need it for my M1 Carbine.
(Another, inside joke)

lol...1337 crewwww, ASEMBLE!!lol....and that too had .45 ammo.
Way to quit ww2, start nam, and then go back to ww2 again just in time for the event Mike!
Medic, I would check to see the age limit and see if they are accepting medic slots at the event before commiting.

Do we have a list on how many guys are going? I am quite positive that it is more than 20 right now... Exact numbers I’m not sure of. But if it is like the other games, which were in cold weather mind you... it should be about 30 or more.

Not to speak out of turn for other members of the 3rd, but I believe we're working on sending a squad out for the event. I'll let the Ersatzjack brothers be the official mouthpiece for our unit as far as numbers go, but speaking for myself, I'm gung ho! As long as I don't have to make the drive from MN by myself, I'll be there.

I guess it isn't so bad with two... but i'd prefer three. That way you get more sleep.

Or, the sausage vendor perhaps? Or the nearest P-Paste distributor? Okay, we'll stop with the jokes. BTW, I believe I said that Mike would flop back to WWII right before the event....so, I win.

No. You lose Jack, as of last night Mike said he wasn't doing ww2....so that basically means he still has no clue.
The sausage's will not be avalable at 3AM. Gen. Mclovin should be there, his CP is yet to be determined. The closest P'Paste distributer is in the Washington region.
Okay, NOW we're done with the jokes.
If there's anyone in Mass who needs a ride to the event. PM me.

hank, if you or your brothers need any uniforms or gear feel free to ask me. I can probably hook you up again. I think I have 4-5 field jackets and a bunch of other stuff.
Oh yah, and if the 1928's not going to be borrowed by anyone or used by myself (it's a backup) feel free to borrow your baby back. I'd rather have it in the hands of someone who wants/needs it than just have it sit in the trunk of my car.

UPDATES:
Remember that you must REGISTER BY EMAIL. Its very simple and it takes about two minutes. We need to do it this way so we can have an idea how to balance the scenarios, water supplies...etc.
For anyone who is playing as a resistance fighter...there is a twist. You will be fighting for the GERMANS. Some Italian civilians that remained in San Pietro after the evacuation actually picked up arms and fought, so this is historically motivated.
For the event, there will be a German and an American encampment. When participants arrive on Friday, they will have the option of staying in the safe zone (main social area, we will be doing chrono and briefing here.) or moving to one of the two camp sites. Pitch your tent, dig in, or just relax.
If you are staying over at the field, you can either sleep in your team's respective camp area, or in the main house (space is limited).
We're still deciding on several other details, but the camp system should work well in creating some team camaraderie...with a sprinkle of realism.
More updates to follow.
-Sean

Sweet, I love the idea of separate camps. Last event the Germans kept me up all night, walking in and out for their silly guard duty.

Sweet Burt! So I take it that will be at the game? I think us BAR gunners and ed's 1 man heavy weapons crew are up for a challenge. Sweet, I love the idea of separate camps. Last event the Germans kept me up all night, walking in and out for their silly guard duty. lol. face it jack, there was a lot that kept you up that night. Hobnails to the feet included Seporate camps w/ a social area is a great idea! I'll be sure to bring the pup tent. Whole buddies anyone? <YD>

Last event the Germans kept me up all night, walking in and out for their silly guard duty. That's not silly Nimlas. It's called total immersion. As far as seperate camps go, I like that idea too. Just so long as we have some together time at the end. Probably the raffle. They used that at Jump to Destiny and it sounded like a good idea. Nice video Burt. It would look better with an MG34, don't you think?

The Germans will have some well built fortifications for this event!
This past Saturday 6/7/08 was spent building and filling over 100 sandbags in 95+ degree weather.
I hope to aid Sean by getting at least one more full day of work done on top of whatever plans he has for preparing the line against the allied assault. I encourage any and all Germans who plan to come Friday night to bring whatever it is they feel might help add to the German Campsite and or defensive lines!
As Sean already said. Stay tuned for more updates…

In response to Medic, I hadn't posted this yet, that is why you didn't receive a reply.
UPDATE
All players under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult who is playing.
All players under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian sign their waiver.

That's really great footage burt! Looks like I have to man my mortar and put one "down the pickle barrel" to knock out a bunker like that. A sand bag story:You need 6 people and a dump truck of saw dust to quickly fill bags. (Saw dust is lightweight and cheap.) 1 man to push broom the sawdust to the loader. 1 man to load the dust into the cone. 1 man to hold a sandbag under the cone. 3 men to "tie" each sand bag. Get a large old orange road cone to use as a funnel. Cut about 6 inches off the top. Flip it upside down and place one edge on the tailgate of the truck. Hold it with your left hand. With your right hand/arm pull sawdust into the cone. A bagger will hold a bag under the cone. When it's full he places hands it to one of the men tying each bag. When a man tying a bag is done he grabs another bag from the pile. Six people filled 230+ sand bags in 1 hour, we also stenciled each bag. It took another half hour to load them back in the truck. i70.photobucket.com/albums/i110/edthebouncer/sandbag_3.jpg///ed///
