For Germans, maybe East German Jack Boots, or for a last resort, regular boots with gaiters.

This spot up here, above the main Firebase, gets fully surrounded by a strange green bamboo style plant. (Please excuse my lack of botanical knowledge.) In past VN events we have used this for the .50 cal position (provided by the great Big Ed). Many Victor Charles have been killed from atop that lookout. Good memories. Can't wait to see the field from the eyes of 1945. It is a great place in '69, so I am sure it will fare well in the forties. Here are a few pics: Gordak filling a sandbag atop the .50 cal position (Much different with the brush): Here's another from the same lookout. Unfortunately that is me in the parachute boonie expired off on the left. At least I got that one Mr. Charles before his brothers got me! I am never going to come at 12 again

Nice conversion but I got a question. What kind of Gas Cylinder did you use? The Front swivel looks different, and you used the M14 front sight. Was it custom fabricated? Anyways nice Job I'd like to see more pictures. Make sure to stain the Handguards.

Maybe this is kind of late to be asking... but... is anyone besides the 3rd FJ bringing an MG? If so... anyone have a tri-pod for the MG-34?

The real problem is going to come when you guys are wounded out in the field with no medic, except for the field judge of course.
I counted 17 (GE) v. 19 (US). Gelnett - "Marine Boy" - can't make it.
