Good news for the Ami Schwein! Choclettos arrived by USPS today for your K rats a period wrapped piece of wrigleys and nescafe single serve packets have been added! original K-rationYou will be eating almost the same thing that your grandads and great grandads ate as they marched across europe! Your Kraut counterparts will be quite jealous of your boxed feast and may try and take them from you anyway they can!

That is so cool Gerry. Hey, I think you just stumbled into your own cottage industry. WW2 rations pre-assembled and ready to go. PS - the tongue on the emoticon should be centered and depicts how hungry you are making me.

Glad to serve under Gordak. Don't worry sir, we'll flush those kraut snipers out. Those boys will be running back to mama as we roll in.

Just for a little update on some of the great stuff we are planning for this event.......
A few things just briefly of course......
Grenade rules will apply - we are still working out the kinks on this but there will be grenades.
Medic rules - Every participant will receive a bandage. Each team will have a dedicated Combat medic in addition, field judges for each team will be able to perform medic duties as well if needed. Each medic and field judge will carry "kill" cards. Medics will have a total of 15 "kill" cards 3 of which will be KIA cards others will include bullet wounds to legs and arms, fragments to hands and face, and unconscious for x min. So in essence if you are hit you will drop and call for a medic, Germans a Sani, the medic will make his way toward you, when he reaches you he will reach into his pouch and pull out a "kill" card, lets say for example he pulls out a "bullet wound to left leg" card he will then use your issued bandage to dress your wound, you will now be forced to limp on your left leg and/or be helped by your fellow teammates. If the medic pulls out a "bullet fragment to right hand" this will interfere with your trigger finger hand and if he pulls out a "fragment to face/head" Obviously this will impair your vision as your head will be bandaged. Medics will "re-treat" Wounded Soldiers remove their bandages and either they or the field judges will render them "healed". KIA cards will require a re spawn (we are still deciding on re spawn rules).
We Highly encourage dramatic wounds and hits, this will make for a more realistic event not only for your teammates but for your adversaries as well.
In accordance with the Geneva conventions medics will be off limits and cannot be killed, deliberate targeting of medics and/or field judges will result in that team losing points.
Field judges, though dressed like the country they are judging are not actually part of that team they will be judging for the event and overall quality of game play, honor and sportsmanship. They will be dressed like medics to help with identification.
Scoring: each team will start out with 100 authenticity points. A few ways to lose authenticity points can be... breaking out that poland spring bottle and taking a chug! Not reflecting your current wound, ie: running full sprint while you have a bandage on your leg! poor impressions! Poor sportsmanship like purposely not taking your hits etc.
Pre determined missions will be worth X amount of points some missions we have planned are:
Timed attack and defend for both forces on the fire base
A POW rescue mission for each force into the opposing camp.
A night rescue of a downed RAF fighter pilot, krauts wanna trophy Ami's wanna save their comrade.
We will also have an "easter egg hunt" as it has been called, there will be intel, Ammo cans, various items, a dead German or American officer with intel planted in the field. This will encourage realistic patrols and small clashes if both forces are looking for something! Recovery of these items will be worth points. These must be kept in each teams camp and can be captured by the other.
A combination of Authenticity points, mission points and recovered object points will determine the overall score
we are also waiting on word from the Panther tank owner whether he can attend pending repairs but he has been in touch!
We may also have a US jeep
We will keep everyone posted!

Wow, excellent setup! Good scenarios, I like the way they are set up as well. I will be carrying a .45, if I shoot I am a valid target in accordance with the Geneva Convention. By the way, medics weren't Combat Medics until Vietnam. WWII they were MOS 657 Aid Men.

By the way, medics weren't Combat Medics until Vietnam. WWII they were MOS 657 Aid Men. Probably better not to pull out the .45 and make yourself a target. You are the primary Medic for the Allied forces. Getting yourself killed won't help anybody! Use your medical training and you courage as your primary weapon against the Krauts. The more boys you can put back into action, the more lethal our Allied attack will become.
