It is a standard field release of liability waiver for the field owner. Link is in the first post.

are you going to cap them because of the... so far fewer German players signed up? I know that more are coming!

hey again- do we need to bring our own tents? if we get shovels, can we dig foxholes? will there be places to charge airsoft batteries? any news on armor? sorry about so many Qs thx Hi Nate, Hope I can answer some of your questions here..... Each German should bring his own Zeltbahn or shelter quarter and tentpole section, 4 men will put their Zelts and tent pole section together to make a 4 man tent, just bring a few modern metal tent stakes. If you are unfamiliar with this Item a few good resources to learn about them is here: www.zeltbahn.net/AS Tentage: www.zeltbahn.net/tent.htmAs camouflage or a rain poncho: www.zeltbahn.net/poncho.htmMethods to carry or wear: www.mp44.nl/equipment/zelt_wear.htmTo get an idea of what it lookls like close up in color: you can buy one here for a good price, if you buy 4 or more you get a reduced price this is were most of us bought ours: www.landser.com/zeltbahn-splinter.aspxPole kits: www.landser.com/swisspoles.aspxYou and a couple of buddies can throw a few bucks together and get these instead of sleeping bags: www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/cb.aspx?a=514950This is what we call an immersive event, so we want everything to be/appear as 1944/45 as possible. If you dont care or want or cannot afford it don't sweat it we will have a few post war tents as well as a few shelter quarters for you to sleep in this is a 48 hour event with the latter half being 24+ hours straight so I don't know how much sleep we will get past Friday night! We are planning on having a few work parties to dig foxholes, prepare battlefields and campsites and what ever else the field owner may want us to do. So if you have a period shovel or spaten you can surely dig all the foxholes you like the weekend of the event but we plan to have this done prior to the event so that we can concentrate on strategy, trigger time and having fun! This is a dedicated airsoft field so I do not think batteries will be a problem but I will get a more definate answer for you. Maybe Bodhi can chime in and let us know if there is electricity at the field, Rob?The Panther owner has expressed interest in the event, his main concern is repairs on the vehicle he has not commited to us yet but has been in touch. Now some questions for you... Have you gathered your kit? did you see the helmet link I sent you? have you registered for the event yet? Hope this helps some and questions are no problem, Gerry

24+ hours straight!!!! can't wait. Sorry I have not registered yet but I am waiting for some checks to clear before I go and spend any more money. I am definitely going and I'm going to be siding with the Germans either with an mp44 or mp40. This looks like so much fun, Groundzero and WW2AA you guys are doing a great job.

i think that ed will be comming with his armory mccallion If I know Big Ed, he's got just the tools for the job! As for POWER, NO, there is no electricity at the field! The airsoft shop (Wolcott Hobby) is about 5 miles from the field. Again THERE IS NO ELECTRICITY AT THE FIELD. Bring multiple batteries. In my opinion this is another reason to use realistic capacity magazine load outs. For a WW2 event, I don't see why anyone would ever want to use a hicap magazine. People spend lots of time and money making their impressions as accurate as possible, but then use hi capacity mags claiming they can't afford mid caps. Something I will never understand. All too often, people think, "I don't want to only be using a mid cap if someone else is going to be using a high cap." If everyone committed to using mid and low caps, the event would be much more realistic and would allow players to use era specific tactics and team movements. It also means that, by default, you are shooting less and hence using less battery. Just my opinion. Time and time again I have watched people complain about ditching hi-caps (myself included.) Then people play in a mid/low cap only event and everyone leaves saying, "I'm never using high-caps again." Something to consider. It is well worth the investment.

I'm only bringing 1 high cap because thats what came with my Thompson and I only have 2 mags as it is. I'm working on getting more mid caps from kapowwe.com to fill up my 5 cell ammo pouch I got from ebay.com for $9.

ok, i have a hypothetical here- if i were to craft a panzershreck missle launcher out of pvc pipe, and made it fire airsoft m203 rounds, would it be allowed?

It is easier and cheaper to make a small mortar witht he M203 rounds. The Panzershrek would fire a missle. So use a nerf ball like the Panzerfausts the Midwest guys use. ;D

well im thinking on two types, the compressed air version that shoots tennisballs or nerf footballs, like these midwest guys, or i already have 6 m203 grenades and a launcher, so i would mount the launcher inside the pipe, and rig it to function, and look awsome. i was thinking the tennis one for anti-armor, m203s for anti-infantry. let me know what you guys think-

A good realistic mortar would be a nice addition for the Germans. I would concentrate on something like that. Here is a replica 80MM that is used in blankfire reenacting:

This ebay seller has military pup tents (2 shelter halves) complete with stakes and poles. Total is $26 shipped. Not bad for two guys, $13 per person. stores.ebay.com/Global-Commodities_W0QQssPageNameZstrkQ3amewaxQ3amesstQQtZkmTents are not 100% authentic, but the pup tent design has not changed much over the years. Poles and stakes are metal, but do not really show when tent is erect. This is a low cost alternative for US forces. My goal for realism is not to have items in view that will pull people "out of the moment" of 1945. These tents work for me. A bright red Coleman tent would pull me right out, but these tents pass for me. Other opinions are always welcome. Gerry let me know if these are not acceptable, and I will delete the post.
