There will be four (4) K-98 G version magazines for sale at the event. I believe someone was asking about them? They are brand new and never used.

Might not make it, need an MRI on my right knee for possible cartlidge tear . I'll still come as some random French Citizen. It's a real damn shame, I have an obvious limp it sucks -[glow=blue,2,300]Rule Britannia[/glow] are knee braces allowed to show or no? If yes i MIGHT be able to play..... as a German POW

I went and looked at your thread on the 60mm mortar and I think it is pretty cool. I agree with the one comment that you are quite talented in the technical aspects. My question is this.. since I have been at a few events that featured small arms only, how will the mortar be worked and when will we know if we get hit. Obviously if a tennis ball hits me, I guess I know I'll be a casualty but the accuracy would be really lucky. You said it shoots bb's. I assume the bb's are carried in a container of sorts and how does the container burst to explode the bb's. Just wondering.

It shoots bb's, dried peas or dried beans which "rain" down. It is only effective in a open areas. Too many trees and the ammo goes nowhere.
Tennis balls would be better used in bunker/village scenarios.
Lobbing a tennis ball into a garbage-can as an objective in a certain amount of time is another scenario.
It can also be a scenario/objective for the German side. Eliminate the mortar team.

Well thats good, because there is plenty of open area here for mortar use. There will also be trenches and foxholes in which to station the mortar.

Thanks for the explanation biged. Great, now not only do I have to worry about stuff at eye level but I'm going to have to look to see what's raining down on me from the skys.

I’m glad the Allies have a mortar as well. I was worried the Germans were going to completely outgun the Allies… now, not as much. Sigh.

400-500 with smoke grenades (estimated due to hilly terrain). 175+ with tennis balls. 200-250 with garbonzo (chick peas) beans. I've fielded the mortar and the .50 cal twice. Both times it sucked moving either one around. I'm busy reproducing an Mk3 cart: handcartz.smugmug.com/gallery/2528228#132829963This way they can be easily transported/moved in the field. ///ed///

Franz: The tires on the Mk3 cart are 26 inch tires. The M3A4 utility cart (most commonly seen cart in Europe) has 12 x 4.00 which are damn near impossible to locate the "S3" firestone tire. And locating one of the two era style rims (one was spoked the other has holes) is also impossible. I located some 26 inch pneumatic cart tires rated for 250lbs a piece, so the max capacity will be 500 lbs. And bigger tires roll easier over uneven ground.
Warlord: The .50 is brutal for smaller events. If I have any room left in my car I will try and bring it - but don't get your hopes up. Next on my shopping list is a small trailer to transport all the stuff I have.

It's far better for the allies to stay "flexible" and "mobile". Besides we all saw it in the threads so your curiosity should be alleviated. And no, I don't have any hidden agenda. (Heh-heh!)

Airsoft Corner will have guns for rent you just have to reserve one. (M1A1 and MP40s) Price is $35.00 to rent but you will have to put 130.00 down that will be refunded as long as the gun, Battery and mags are all accounted for and in same condition as rented minus normal use.. The guns are NEW.
