my personal favorite is a Sanyo 8.4v 2000 mah battery, if you can get one these days
I run it in my M1A1 (a marui) and have no problems, even in freezing temperatures.
It seems the CYMA has a small battery connector, so you'd have to swap that out to a large to be able to use a large battery

I would go to radio shack and get the tamiya plug repair kits. strip your wires that come with the gun put on the new one you got from radio shack. It is easy to do and you don't even need to solder you just crimp them on they work great. I would look at an Intellect 8.4 3600 it will cost a little but has been a great battery for me. there you go help supplied.

It should not be that hard to create your own battery pack, I did for an older out of production rc car, just need a rc car battery pack and some heavy wire tape and solder.
In batterys the greater MAh rating is what you are looking for that will give you greater power for a longer time.

no one replied about the 9.6v. Has anyone tried it and had problems? Should increas the ROF. Are people exploding the internals of the gun using 9.6v?

9.6v is fine also. Yes your ROF will increase some but will not damage your gun at all.
BTW, Do not solder wires on the battery, if you don't know what you are doing you could damage it
