What is the terrain/field like?
Any pics or descriptions of what we have to play on or around? Lots of woods, open fields, any structures? Just curious....

Sweet, sounds great. I'll be bringing my Sturmgewher and MP-40, in case the STG-44 chrono's too high. (Both are bone stock, FWIW).
Very much looking forward to both the night at the museum and the event the next day. Been playing a lot with a good group of guys in PA, but there is no WWII theme to the skirmishing, so its difficult to figure out sometime who's on who's team.

As we are now 6 days out we need to get some info up! Here is the address and directions: www.usmilitarymuseum.org/sitefiles/directions.html We will be waking up at 6 AM or so on Saturday to gear up, breakfast and to get to Ground Zero at 8AM for sign in and field fees. Be sure to pack a period lunch for the field on Saturday. Be sure to print out and sign or have your parents sign the Waiver ahead of time. You can find it here: www.humyo.com/F/3518913-175000657/NjJhZTEwNDAzZjBjNjVhNWI1OTA0YTBiMjQ1ZjkyZjA Ground zero is a fully stocked premium Airsoft shop if you need Ammo or gas etc. We are still looking for a German Medic! I might not be able to make it actually, I might be seeing some friends. You will make it! You are an important part of the Allied machine, they need you & the event needs you. You can always see friends! We only have 3 events per year, that is 3 days out of 365! -G

Guys, We are doing this rain or shine! If you want inspiration, read some of the veterans of the V and VII Corps and their accounts of what life was like in the Hürtgen forest for the miserable months these men lived there. We only have to endure one day of such conditions. ww2db.com/battle_spec.php?battle_id=117Dont let the weather scare you off! -Gerry

The Krauts are dropping like flies, we have lost 4 in the last couple of days! A little rain and everyone runs for cover! It was looking to be a good turnout.

Yes, I agree completely. Although I understand the weather is a deterrent, My party of three was already packed and minutes from departure when I got the message from Gerry.
As we saw only a few weeks ago when they predicted 100% rain during one of the Yankee playoff games (to which I was at), there was not a drop. You never know.
Well it's my hope that we can re-schedule this event for a early December date and not just wait for the Feb/March event.
Happy Thanksgiving to all and a special thanks to Gerry for all his efforts.
