Im beginning my crusades to achieve the Holy Garand (too much Angels&Demons i think ) Well, the case is that for some unkown reason, my GBB M1 would sometimes vent out all the gas after charging her up. AFAIK, the gas seams to escape because the BB gas valve is stuck leaving it open?! (i dont have a idea what the real problem is...). The problem might be reolved by buying a new part 55 and 23 from the wonderful web page i found. As im also hit by the economic crisis, i cant buy a lot of gas so I decided to make my Garand bolt action. What ive done is to remove the plunger that pressed the blowback valve. It works perfectly, just like a M1 Carbine. Now im able to shoot 9 clips from 1 single charge of Abbey Predator Ultra in a temp of 25º.

If the gas escapes during charging through barrel, the rubber gasket fell off from shooting valve rod

Roma: I mean, the gas charges in correctly but when I press the trigger, sometimes all the gas vents out from the valve (me thinks) but I really dont know as I can see it happening. I just see gas an silicone oil sprouting out from the right side of the bolt. Sgttom: Sorry man, I dont have a chrono but I think its shooting at 34 fps +- 10fps. Now then, as ive discarded the BB, now i am 100% sure the folks down my local field will let me use it classified as a sniper rifle. Ive already ordered a TK barrel. Will be ordering a mount base from the US via toboggan and will buy a Mojji spider scope to male it look similar to the M84 scope: Mojji spider scope: I know it isnt 100% reflection but its the only scope I found to be similar...

Just change the rubber gasket ring in it for the same from plastic transparent lighter valve and tighten it up well. In Marushin all rubber rings are not good. First thing when you get Marushin M1 Garand is to disassemble it, clean and assemble it tight and firmly. Many things inside are loose.

When you screw out the charging valve you will see a rubber ring on it. Change it and tighten up. You received a new rifle? If the bolt stuck when the gas is escaping check the spring in the bolt (part 98). It can get off of its place sometimes.

No..i mean, after charging my Garand with gas, i press the trigger and all of the vents out. The bolt doesnt move and it seems that the gas is escaping from the top right part of the bolt..

There are several reasons for it, all simple, especially with the shop that you found but I need to have it in hands to be sure what it is. Have you disassembled blow back valve (part 82..etc.)?

I can not tell you all the reasons, because it can be just your error in reassembling or even defect from factory that I have seen. If you want PM me with detailed description of failure and all parts involved actions and I will try to help you.

Meisterschutze, you’re a genius,
I received my export walnut garand last week and it is fantastic. shooting rock solid so far. I am very happy. Blowback is great and heavy but I get maybe 4 clips worth out of propane.
I removed part 140 like you said and it works perfectly. It is now bolt action.
I got to clip 6 on a full charge and I still have not run out of gas.
The thing is shooting twice as hard I reckon, no chrono but Im shooting .40's at at least 500-600 fps. One shot exploded a wine bottle into a million pieces from about 10 yards!!!!
Of course you miss out of the blowback action but you get to rack the bolt for every shot and thats sex:) It does make a nice snap/phut when you fire now though.
Im gonna make a monster Marushin Garand review at some point once Ive put a few thousand BB's through it and try dispel some of the horror stories...

bummer dude. did you have export model? did it break while in your 'bolt action' mode?
that part 45 is to be expected, much like the hop up's on WA M4's crumble after a few thousand bb's.
get a stronger part and your laughing:)

Yooo! It broke when I was fiddling with the gun, just pulling and releasing the bolt. I just love to her the CLANK! sound.LoL Ive got the normal non export version. But well, we both knew what we were buying right? Part 45 problem was just a problem of time...
