Hey,
Thought id start this up..Im trying to get hold of Jeremiah, as id like some details on an order ive placed with his company MGW.
Its been 3 weeks since i received an email from him. As you can imagine, im starting to get slightly nervous about the situation.
I know he is a very well respected member of this forum, so it just seems to me to be a little bit out of character not to reply to emails, as before this he would reply within 24hrs.
I live in the UK so calling is impossible.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

He was online yesterday and I think today. I'm sure you will get your order as said he is a great member and helps out a lot here. He has a job which problem sets him back some time, if I were you I would keep bugging him over and over until you get a response. 3 weeks is a lot to wait since you handed over a pretty good amount of cash to him.

Jeremiah told me he would ship my stuff at the end of July. I think he has set that deadline for all his early orders. I expect that he is working very hard to meet that deadline since he gets pretty serious about keeping his word. Give him a couple of more days then try again. There is absolutely no danger of you losing your money when dealing with him.

thats what i thought...Just found it strange that communication stopped when i asked for a photograph of the build progress.
As you can imagine dealing with someone oversea's can get difficult.

I would like to make a formal apology for not having responded to any e-mails for two weeks. We have been extreamly buisy and out of town very frequently and have had very little time to be capable of answering any e-mails and giving them the attention they deserve. However the maddness has ended and responses will be heading out tonight and tomarrow to the people waiting for them. To anyone that has bought a gun dont worry, just becuase things have been buisy does not mean work has halted on the weapons, they are progressing in production as planned infact thats one of the reasons I have been buisy TommyGunner

An e-mail will be sent out about this to all MGW customers in a day or two.
All orders will be shipped no latter than the 23rd of this month.
The delay in shipping is a result of the wood worked I contracted to presicion build all of the wood parts from me skipping out on the job I contracted him to do and not returning the money I gave him for the job. He jerked me around for awhile resulting in myself having to mass produce all of the parts this week.
Also I seemed to have been taken when it came to ordering the Springfield parts as well. Those never seemed to show up. So I was forced to place an order with SARCO (which I will now order from always) for over $600 in parts I already paid someone else for. Luckly I was refunded the cash from the previous supplier but this only occured a few days ago.
So through poor judgement in contractors and suppliers (who made away with a fair sum of cash) the construction period has been lengthened to the 23rd when all orders will be shipped out.
Thank you all for bearing with me. Now with a great supplier such as SARCO for parts and the purchase of a wood stock replicator these problems will be a thing of the past with my 4th generation all wood and metal rifles I will release next year!

sorry about that. Turns out I forgot to order the safty switch that goes on the rear bolt assembly so those will be here by the end of the week and shipments of the Springfields will go then. I didnt notice the missing part until final assembly of a few rifles. When they are shipped a tracking number will be sent as well as an e-mail invoice. Also all shipments will be insured for the cost of the gun and a person will need to be present to sign for the package for all orders. TommyGunner

For anyone who has ordered a V3 Springfield or V3 Enfield.
Next year I will be offering the V4 Springfields and Enfields with full wood stocks. Becuase of the problems in obtaining the needed parts for this last batch of 2009 V3 rifles I am offering anyone who has ordered a V3 Springfield or Enfield the chance to order a V4 Springfield or Enfield stock to put on your V3 Springfield or Enfield.
The stocks will not be available until May of 2010 but with little to no modification you will be able to put these stocks onto your V3 rifles. The cost for a V4 stock for anyoen who ordered a V3 rifle will only be the cost of shipping it to you. This is my way of making up for the extra time it has taken to build the 2009 batch of rifles.

HI jeremiah, Can we have an update on whats happening. Are the rifles shipped, ready to be shipped? I have a game & and reenactment day that i would like to use this in.
This is starting to drag on quiet a bit now. This isn't the service i was expecting from you. Its a dissapointment!

Okay Jeremiah, The time has come to be straight with us. When Will these orders be completed and shipped?
Its dragged on long enough. I've sent an insane amount of emails requesting information from you. With no reply. Im really dissapointed with how the process has gone. You promised so much, and have delivered on Zero.
This was my first venture into custom built guns. Im going to think long and hard about doing it again.
Dropping off the face of the earth with the occasional promise of an email, which never arrives. Isn't the way to earn peoples respect.
I put my trust in you to deliver the goods. How do you expect me to recommend you to a friend?
You'd set expectations high with such an aggressive marketing campaign, i couldn't go onto a forum without seeing an ad for MGW.
Sounds like you had the best intentions, but haven't fully thought out the end to end process. Customer relations is a key part of any business. Win over your customer, and you grow in market share.
You've had my cash now for over 2 months!! I sent you $560, which is a resonable amount of money, in anyones books. especially since i have noithing to show from it. Apart from 1 picture of a stock, which im not fully convienced was mine.
All i want is my Springfield!! OR MY MONEY BACK! with the help of paypal! which is a last resort.
I THINK ITS ABOUT TIME YOU TOLD US WHATS GOING ON!!

I always come through on my sales and promises to anyone who orders a product and sometimes circumstances out of my control play into the delivery time of a final product. However all customers have always recived a rifle from me. MGW is still a very small one man operation and delivery times while I do quote a two month build time seem to change. This is becuase I trusted two people to deliver me certain pre made items which they themselfs neglected to deliver resulting in a massive cash loss. Needless to say I have made almost no profit on this summers sales becuase of this and it had actually resulted in about a month and a half of waisted waiting per rifle during which I was unable to work on them because the parts I was promised never got built. Anyway I undertstand the frustration and hope to make right by these pics along with the fact that not only you but also all buyers this summer will recive full wood stocks for the guns for free next year once the stock replicator arrives and I have a batch built for you. Your Springfield is the first one on the left. The rear bolt assembly simply needs to be attached and the barrel attached and also for some reason I recived a batch of rifles with the wrong bolt handle so for yours and a few others I am custom building a better bolt handle.n Also each rilfe is coated with dust right now that will be cleaned off prior to shipping. Here are some pics of two other Springfields (they dont belong to anyone) in the construction process. The wood front ends are what I had contracted a private wood worker to build and they were never delivered resulting in myself having to build 15 different wood front ends last minent without the proper tools almost at the two month point for almost everyones rifle resulting in a huge loss of time. Thank you jeremiah for the images and explaination. I apologise for getting irrate with you. But im sure you can imagine the frustrations i have when i send emails and post messages and get no answer.
I really think it would be worth your while to login here and give us updates or even spend an hour out of the day to send customers an email once a week. At the end of the day we all want this to succeed for you.
From looking at the pics the rifles look great.

No problem, as the only person in MGW I have come to expect a level of frustration from people when things go past the period of build time I quoted. I especially get frusterated when things dont go as I had planned them either. Also it got very hard to send e-mails and take pics lately becuase I headed back to college. The build schedual was planned out so that all rifles would be shipped before I left for school, however becuase of the guy who screwed me I am now having to drive over 100 miles a week in order to make it back to the shop on the weekends to finish the orders. Hence the lack of pictures and e-mails being sent out.
However with the comming purchase of a rifle stock replicator, a mill, metal drill press and band saw things will finally turn towards the type of product a major company would produce. Things will become in a sense automated and price along with build time will go down as everything will finally be centrally located and I will be in controll of every aspect of MGWs supplys.
Also again all 2009 V3 rifle customers will recive a free full wood stock to replace the compsite stock if you would like.

Thanks for the update Jeremiah, I am sure it is greatly appreciated from all of us who have placed orders. As Biguk said, thank you for this pics and such as well. I know I can say that I am really looking forward to getting my rifle and we do all indeed wish for you to succeed. I think it is safe to say that most if not all of us understand why you are having problems completing orders and truly sympathize with you. The frustration on this end comes from the lack of updates and having emails go unanswered/ignored by you. I know that I have personally sent multiple emails to you in the past couple of months with no response at all. In fact, the last email I received from you was 2 months ago. I have requested pics of my build, as you stated we could when we placed the order, and have not received one to this day (although I am just going to assume that my rifle is somewhere in the pics above). You could send a reply to an email even without pics in a couple of minutes, it really does not take long to respond and all we are looking for is a "hey, the status/update is this and that. Estimated ship time is (insert time here)". And if the shipping time is pushed back, let everyone know why and what the new estimated shipping time is. Just be honest. When a customer puts good faith in you, by paying you upfront before a rifle is built, and then you treat them like that it is a prime example of bad customer service. I am sure that you have learned a lot from this experience you are going through, and I hope that your customers in the future will benefit from it. Also, I will say that the wood stock offer was/is a very nice offer and thank you for that. I am sure that most of your customers from this round will be sure to take advantage of the offer. It does go a long way to helping take care of us and making up for what has happened. With that being said, as Biguk asked... do you have a new estimate on shipping time? You still have not answered/ignored that question repeatedly. Also, the last time you said that the orders would be shipped out was in your post from Aug 25th to which you said: "Turns out I forgot to order the safety switch that goes on the rear bolt assembly so those will be here by the end of the week and shipments of the Springfields will go then. I didn't notice the missing part until final assembly of a few rifles" But then your newest post says: "The rear bolt assembly simply needs to be attached and the barrel attached and also for some reason I received a batch of rifles with the wrong bolt handle so for yours and a few others I am custom building a better bolt handle" Which seems to contradict the post before it by stating there is more to do than just putting on the safety switch.... can you offer some clarity on this? Are you indeed only waiting on the safety switches... or do you have to build the bolt handles still as well? Just slip your mind/forgot to mention the first time? Just checking. I apologize if this reply comes off a little harsh. I have really tried to refrain from posting anything to negative on this board regarding this process. But, it seems this forum is the only place you respond to anything and after not being able to get a reply by email I see no other choice but to post here. Thank you for all your hard work and continued efforts. I look forward to the getting the final product and mounting my scope and accessories to the rifle... which have been sitting in the corner mocking me for months lol. Cheers, -misfit

The date in which this MUST be in my posession. Is the week commencing 10/19/09. This will allow me a week to go over the gun and install the upgrades before my big game weekend on the 7th Nov.
Can you confirm a date please....That would really help in putting my mind at rest.

Hi thanks for the offer. But its really not necessary. I wouldn't really want to rattle his cage with confrontations. I am protected by Paypal,so when/if the time comes to i will go down the legal path and use the service they provide to recover my $560. As he is in breach of his Terms and Conditions of service.
Whilst im dissapointed with the lack of service. I wouldn't want to be held accountable to anything which is not law abiding.
