OK, guys, we're in business! Here are pics of the completed prototype. That's an aqua fortis finish rubbed with Birchwood Casey TruOil on the maple stock, with Krylon Ultraflat Black sprayed onto the fiberglass parts and buffed back with 00 steel wool to give a gunmetal sheen and simulate wear around the edges. See info below the pics if you want to order one for yourself: INTRODUCING the SGS PPSh-41 AEG Rough Kit - $295 + shipping Convert your AGM M14 into a PPSh-41! Kit includes all the parts you need to make the conversion, plus a step-by-step instruction booklet. The rough-out hardwood stock is fully inletted, but will require exterior filing and sanding before it’s ready to have the fiberglass receiver, buttplate and drum mag fitted. Requires files, sander, dremel, drill, screwdriver, epoxy putty, and glue. PLEASE NOTE – KIT DOES NOT INCLUDE AGM M14 INTERNALS. YOU MUST SUPPLY YOUR OWN AEG PARTS! Fitted Kit - $395 + shipping Convert your AGM M14 into a PPSh-41 over a weekend! Kit includes all the parts you need to make the conversion, plus a step-by-step instruction booklet. The hardwood stock is fully sanded and inletted, while the fiberglass receiver and drum mag are fitted and ready to mount your airsoft internals. All you have to do is put a finish on the parts, trim and fit your hi-cap mag winder, install your gearbox and barrel, and screw it all together. It looks real good Todd. You're going to make a lot of commies and commie sympathizers happy with your craftmanship. I'm thinking you should give preference to the overseas crowd so that those things go far, far, away from the Midwest. Congratulations on a great project.

They are really pretty. How did the feed mechanism work out? I'm curious to see how they shoot.

Nicely done, Gryphon. It turned out to be a bit more expensive than I was originally expecting however, and might have to wait a bit longer.

Regardless of any short commings on this kit I think its amazing, and the fact of the matter is that its a PPSH-41 and a very affordable one at that.

Amazing. Is the magazine removable? If so do you intend to produce banana magazines? Great work!

As of right now, the drum mag is NOT removeable, but the MP40 stick-mag version will be (if I can make it work.) Eventually, I might make a removeable-mag version, but for now the fixed hi-cap drum mag is all I'm doing - it's a frame-strength issue, the real ones have a double layer of heavy-gauge steel sheet at the thinnest point above the mag well, mine don't. Since the real-steels were famous for their 72-rd mags, which at 3:1 would equal about 210 in airsoft rounds, I think my 200-rd fixed hicap is a reasonable compromise. And it looks great....
Oh, hey, gotta tell you guys this story. Our local electrician is a former Marine and veteran of the Korean War. He was over the other day to wire an outlet for our new dryer. I had the prototype Papasha sitting on my drawing table; his head must have swivelled pretty hard as as he walked by, because he bellowed out to me in the other room, "Son of a Bitch, Kid, where in the Sam HILL did you get a Burp Gun?" I explained what it was, and he told me about how the North Koreans liked to use them as trench guns. "You had to get them little (colorful expletive deleted-s) out in the open with them burp guns, or they'd tear you up if you left 'em in their holes."

Post info about this offering at vietnamwarairsoft.com It would be ideal for VC and I suspect you'll sell several there.
