The upper receiver, barrel and barrel shroud are out of PVC, while the top drum is a plywood dummy - it takes an AGM M14 hi-cap (not shown) All in all, a pretty simple quick-and-dirty conversion for a Soviet or Finn with an AGM M14 lying around:

Looks great. Probally not as cheap and easy but what about using a P90 hop unit and guts of a P90 hicap for the drum up top?

I didn't know what a P90 was so I went and looked. I think you are correct Charlie. Selected P90 parts married with the base gun allows for a top feed mag. I bet that would solve the magazine location problem. I see they even come with drum magazines although a little fat for my tastes but maybe they could be thinned. Shouldn't take Gryphon more than a day. ;D

Genius! Looks fantastic. I have been giving some thought to doing a similar conversion but using a AK47 as a base for a 1944 DPM like this:

Wow! Nice job Gryphon !!
A P90 hopup & hicap will work for a top feed. Matching the same size nozzle is the tricky part. Have to compare V6 (P90) and V7 (AGM) nozzle, length, width etc.

Hey, can any of you guys, Glymov maybe? tell me the dimensions of the pan magazine? diameter and height would be great.
Also a question for Gryphon, what did you use to make your flash hider?
Thanks guys.

The DP pan magazine is 266mm in diameter and 18mm thick. My flash hider is made from an empty embroidery thread spool - find a local shop that does hats and such, and ask for a couple.

Nice pics. I think it would be cool if you Russians would start a thread in the allied section with all of your impressions. It would be nice to see who's doing Russian and how.
