ok boys, Once upon a time there was this magical place along the Virginia and North Carolina border that was 88 acres of field and woods that almost perfectly resembled a little place called Kursk in Ukraine. Well, turns out when Dr. Seuss was about to publish his "ideas" this place was found and it was called blackwater airsoft. The end So me and a couple others who play Ostfront were trying to get some folk down this summer anywhere between July 4-20(the exact date will be decided after we get clarification from the owner that its okay to hold an open invitation) and as of right now it would be basically be a mix of players both ww2 and non-ww2 However, If yall can show through this poll how many people would be interested we might have a shot at a full weekend of solid WW2 airsoft. Thanks from katz

The Midwest Ostfront Assocation wishes you well in your endevours! We'll probably wait until you're somewhat more established before making a long road trip, but let's keep in touch.

I can probably be out there then( on the axis side). How many people are you expecting to come. For world war 2 probably 3 or 4 others but altogether probably 20 or so others. We have 3 or 4 others who have commited and started makin plans for there kits so by ohhhhhhh mid-spring we should have 8 not including all others who join in the next few weeks and if we have a couple more we will actully have a good sized group What is your impression by the way? It's a mix of all styles of airsoft so you will have a lot of other people there but its fun either way. :)Glad you are considering it

Perhaps you get some older Individuals to help set up and run something, instead of on the fly gameplay. A bit of promotion on other boards about the day will deffinatly help to all those who are not familiar with the website to join in. Even pictures in your kit with Promotional posts make people want to show up in authentic kits instead of molle tac gear!

honestly, what you guys need to do is stop just gabbing about stuff like this is aim and actually do it before talking about it online. the more you talk about noncommital stuff about something in the far off neverneverland future, the more i write you guys off as the kids who just cry wolf.

look, i know how excited and creative dudes can get online, ESPECIALLY during the winter months when you don't get to play as much. BUT, i have read way way way too many "events" that guys have posted up on various forums without having anything concrete in detail to offer potential players because guys just want to post it up. and guess what? about 90% of those events never happen. how many countless games i've read that announced that they'll have this tank there, or these props there, or asking for what players want to do... basically the organizer has zero control of their own event. it gets to the point where i and many others see that type of person post up an "event", it immediately gets written off.
my suggestion is to meet in person with your group who is going to run this event, come up with the details you want to control like fps limits, the rules, the scenario, kit requirements, admission fee, etc etc and THEN announce all those concrete details on the internets and guys will then get excited. planning and running events is no joke and many organizers do not treat it for what it is: a service industry. someone gives YOU money to give them an experience... you should act accordingly and do EVERYTHING in your power to make sure they walk away saying 'wow, that was a great day/weekend'... do that, and you will get a great following for future events that will only grow.

You are absolutely right. It really isn't an "event" per say its more or less just an invitation for a specific date in the summer when we will be attempting to run an all world war 2 scenario day. We will talk with them in a few days about it so yes there will be a good amount of organization. I think I should re due the details on this thread but besides the point you have a great point. Thanks

Yeah not to be disrespectful or anything but this truely has been the first thread ive made on the event weve been tossing around scence october or so. You are right though...to many threads are about events that never hs any hold but I think this will really work. I mean it wouldn't be very impressive at all. What I am saying is we should have some guys close by meet up at a set date in the summer for Ostfront airsoft in a place that very well mimcs Kursk. The field is very new and they are considering an overnight game and if they do it would be a mixed genre game but it would still be a good chance to meet up with some other guys from the area. I knowyou have been doin this stuff for a long time Kken so all the advice youve said is very helpful. Thanks
