Hello chaps. Just thought I'd warn you guys about having any dealings with "Front of Russia". A whole group of us on the UK CiA forums sent him over $1000 worth of orders last October, see this thread for details www.ww2airsoft.org.uk/php/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=9109To date, we have received nothing but lies from FOR when we have enquired about our order, which we hoped to have in time for our Russian event on January 24th. This is highly unlikely now and we are instigating proceedings to try and get our money back from this thief. I'd hate to see the same thing happen to any of you, so please, learn from our experience and don't waste your money ordering from this idiot. Please tell anyone even considering buying from Front of Russian to save their money and a lot of hassle by NOT ordering from him.

What? Every Russian reenactors websites vendor suggestion page has this website on their good list. I heard the guy adds stuff to orders, like maybe an extra hat or something cheap, for free. Maybe the people should realize it takes awhile to make $1000 worth of stuff?

I've been looking into purchasing a few items from Front of Russia lately, and I want to know if it is truly a safe and reliable place to buy. I've heard mixed reviews, some say absolutely great others not so good. A lot of Russian reenacting groups strongly recommended it, but I've heard a few problems (never shipped, wrong size) So is it a good place to buy?

Maybe the people should realize it takes awhile to make $1000 worth of stuff? What 14 months?? because that's how long we've been waiting for this order now and all of us have given up on ever seeing it especially as we can't even get replies to any emails we send. From what I understand FoR used to be a good supplier but for some reason he changed, the CiA order isn't the only one that he's failed to supply quite a few other groups in the UK have been scammed by FoR, if you want to order and risk your money go ahead but don't start complaining when you don't recieve the goods. The main lesson I took away from this is not to deal with anyone who won't accept credit cards or paypal

Try these people www.schuster.ru (Use google toolbar to translate it to english.) Some of the guys on the UK forum have been getting russian kit from them and are happy with the price and quality, delivery takes a bit of time as the stuff is made to order, the only thing is that payment is by western union with it's associated risks but for the moment they seem to be reliable and delivering the goods.

They have an "English Version" on their website but the descriptions for their items arent even in Russian, it's filled with some kind of code with different currency symbols, stuff like "1/3" and what doesn't even look russian.

Uh oh, I sent an email to FoR last week on how much is shipping for this one item, and he replied saying what the price is and that he's expecting my payment... So I'm just not going to reply. But he also said he now takes Visa.

Hey, pretty much registered only to participate in this thread.
I'm an Swedish airsofter and I've had dealings with FoR before and have gotten my stuff every time, BUT often late and with slightly varying sizes.
Since I have gotten relatively good service before (specially considering prices and free gifts such as cigs) I put a new order with them about a month ago, and transferred 250 USD via Western Union (as I've done before). WU confirmed that the money had been picked up and I received an email from "Alex" that the items would be shipped within a week.
A week later I contacted Alex, wondering whether the items had been sent, and he replied that "they needed more time to finish some of the items". That was 10 days ago and no further communication has been received from FoR.
Since the name Aleksey Babushkin might be a real one and considering that some people's faces are visible on the website (pictures which I have saved to my hard drive) I'm considering the possibility of doing an investigation by going to Kirovograd. I do have some friends of Ukrainian heritage, and it's not very far to travel from where I'm living; with these assets, and with the fantastic possibility to buy sh*tloads of stuff when I'm there, it might actually be doable.
I'll consult a couple of friends concerning the quality and willingness of local authorities to help out in such a matter.
//Felix

A friend of mine just suggested them for a few items of Russian kit, but I don't know that it is worth the risk of getting scammed. P.S. Your English is great!

Just to keep this visible I thought I'd do a quick update which is 28 months after placing the order nothing has been seen or heard of from FoR I think it's fair to say that none of us have any expectation of getting anything I have however recieved some russian bits from these people www.schuster.ru and I'm more than happy with the goods, the price and the service.
