Thats awesome! We had a couple if lads over here who were head to toe pea pattern including the non existant helmet covers etc but on the whole its not so bad. When i started doing heer i was a bit of a bugger for it. I had a zelt, camo smock and splinter helmet cover in my first impression until i discovered less is more

I pondered doing a heer artilleryman actually but I really wanna do a 2nd LT as I already finished the rottenfuhrer.

The point is though turning up as an officer with less than 20 other blokes in the group looks lame as...
If nobody does the private solider you just end up with a group of officers and ncos which is just ridiculous.
take our group last weekend, we did a platoon HQ with a some attached company runners so we had
Yith - Officer Me - platoon Sgt John - Cpl Craig - Pte Ranj - Pte Chris - Pte Nige - Pte James Pte
Thats pretty correct historically, the show before that we had ten of us, i was a Cpl, John was L/cpl and everybody else was a private.
You see for many of us its very frustrating that everybody new to the scene feels the need to cover themselves in rank and awards rather than putting in some time as a grunt with a group.

I think I understand, for myself the reason why I wanted to do an officer first was that the uniform itself felt very nice(plus I do a IJA Captain), though I'm actually sorta happy I started off as an Rottenfuhrer, get to do alot more stuff and I get dirty very often. Can't imagine doing that in a 2nd LT uniform. Although when I don a IJA officer, I'm very use to getting it dirty and messed up.
Yet now that I've finished the rottenfuhrer I'm trying my hand at a 2nd LT artillery officer or an AA one.

.... hey guys, im planning on making an SS impression though i have no idea where to get the gear and what periods of the war go with what uniforms. nor do i know of any german units who had hispanics in it so im screwed on that front as well. but mainly id like to know where to find gear. oh and what pistol did the SS use, im guessing the luger but id like not to be epicly wrong when i do get a luger and it turns out that was not so.

how could you not like the blue division?! They have a pretty strong career and they have a nice patch.

They also had an appaling reputation for taking unnecessary casualties when shelled as if was thought 'effeminate' to dive for cover when mortared... apparently real men shoudl nonchalantly stand there and get cut to shreds...

I've only really read the Osprey title on the Blue Division but that aside they seem to have aquited themself well in the field.. even if there dress standards infuriated whermacht officers! (By this i mean it wasnt quite Prussian Discipline)
