I have decided every winter I will stop taking custom airsoft gun orders and make a new rifle that will be released in the Spring. It will give me a break and a temporary release from the stress ;D and of course something new and exciting to work on.
So for next winter's "New Weapon Project" I am trying to decide what I should make. In the poll above are the things I am thinking on. The G43 is the only thing I am not so sure about. [glow=red,2,300]!Vote![/glow]And feel free to post a reply

An Enfield would probably be cheaper.

Personally I would want a G43, but I rather see a good priced Springfield up for grabs. Looking forward to see which one you make!

I was stuck between the mosin and the enfield, but with the PPSh coming out the Russians will have a weapon, but there are still no British rifles out there. Enfield for me

Well the 1903 is winning. Looks like the WW2 and WWI guys will get something.

The M1917 Enfield was used more than the '03.
Just sayin'.

I hope the 1903 gets it. GOtta have an affordable one, will you make both the USMC and Army issue ones?

I say enfield. The 1903 is cool... but the Brits are serously lacking in rifles. And Enfields are cool guns.

I will attempt an enfield this summer, and a 1903 will be the winter project. Sorry Germans a G43 will have to wait, maybe you'll get lucky and China will make one ;D theushanka- I didn't know the USMC and the Army both had different versions of the 1903. I will be making the "S" stock, "C" stock, and scant stock variants though. Now back to the Kar98s. (epoxy is fun

Sort of. The marines mostly used the C-stock variant while the army used the scant stock ( I think, not an ETO guy)

The USMC used the 03 and 03a1 while the army used the 03a3.

I'll do the versions that do not have the rear ladder sights first. The ones with the ladder sights will cost a bit more.

The A3 was a simplified version made by Remingtion. It's actually a totally differant gun then the 1903. The a3 had the basic battle sights rather then the ladder sights that the 03 had, and had the long skinny handguard. THe 1903 and 03a1 had the short (length) and tall (height) handguard that gave the 1903 it's distinct look.
Good luck with your Springfields! If they are anything close to as nice looking as your K98s they will be great. If you want any tips or help along the way let me know, I learned a lot about how to do it cheaper/better along the way.

Yea if I need any help I'll definitely ask, but I have a whole year before I have to worry about that. It's Definitely a live and learn thing. Comparing my first Kar98 to the current ones I am doing they look a lot better now.

I hope I can someday reach the 300 rifles made that he almost has and hopefully 300 happy customers too. However I probably wouldn't be making these guns if someone hadn't before me.

i think you should just use scope mounts. they are cheap and easier to put on than a peep or ladder sight

But scope mounts don't look like peep or ladder sights.

I voted for Mosin-Nagant. But I agree with people saying that they haven't seen any British rifles. Has anyone seen an Owen? The Aussies used Enfields and Owens. I'm pretty sure some Brits used Owens along with Thompsons too.
