Ok Rocky Mountaineers, we need to host an event!(and get WWII reenacting more popular out here) Anyone who lives in this area leave a post telling me what impression you have, what state, etc (anything that will help with hosting an event). Also if you know of a great field to host an event (not a backyard) make sure you say something. Remember the Rockys are a great place to host a Battle of the Bulge event. See you on the battlefield! ;D

Im in Colorado and we have a great field here called bravo site and it would be great for a WWII themed game. Its used every weekend for modern games all we have to use is bio BBs and its ready to go. Modern airsoft is huge here in Colorado its just people dont want to spend the money on the WWII impression.
Oh and I have a Flaggrantly Wrong 1st Infantry Impression and a garand

First post, long time reenactor, fairly new AS. I only do British impressions. My preferred is Ox & Bucks, although lately I've been spending a bit more time in 51st Highlander. I'm in Denver, I play with the ASCO group. Looking for like-minded chaps to fall in with and see what sort of WW2 flavour can be developed. I can see we're not exactly in a target rich environment here. Failing that, I'll continue to play ASCO and wear my BD and Dennison smock from time to time.

I would love to meet you I dont do WWII anymore due too being chased off the ASCO boards for wanting to. I have tryed many times to start a unit but failed every time. I have since moved into Modern stuff to fit in and still spread the word about WWII. My name on the ASCO is elder90 just like on here.

I am new to reenacting and am still in the process of acquiring weapons and equipment. At the moment I have a Hell on Wheels Eisenhower jacket, some airsoft weapons(very few from ww2) and some uniforms my dad has. If anyone can help me please let me know.

I wish you good luck Lumpy, I dont play WWII airsoft anymore due to the lack of intrest and to many failed attempts at a team. If you ever need a custom gun built PM me, I will gladly help you out (Im in Centennial AKA just sound of denver). As for playing WWII with you, I wont but I would love to attend a weekly game with you.

Hello everyone. Nice to see my buddy and I are not the only WWII airsofters around. I rock with a Thompson, Sten, and soon to be built bren. 1st airborne Elder you may have been chased off but the WWII market is coming back, even fox airsoft has said, nothing set in stone, that they are going to see about putting a period team together.

stay the course folks, it sounds like theres a decent mixed bag of willing players in CO.
Also I believe elder IS associated with Fox airsoft so if something was happening there he'd likely be the guy behind it.
I understand the sour taste in your mouth...... it took three years to finally get the 'kite' of ww2 air soft rolling here in Southern California but we now have a revolving 4-6 week schedule with an average attendance of 20 per event.
keep your games SMALL unit/ single squad focused and try to get the impression base narrow so you can build one solid functioning unit. it needed be the same unit ID but lump it into something tangible.
here we do 'able company' a collection of all US airborne units and glider infantry impressions that on the field functions with one 'exhausted' platoon structure. The germans which are more varied between FJ and Heer infantry impressions falls in under the banner 'The Kampfgruppe' usually also title the name of the acting commander for the event. Despite the patched together aspect they still fight like one overall coordinated unit. Peer pressure works wonders in this regard.
In addition keep in mind you can use a partisan force to help bolster your basic attendance and allow for a 'gateway' experience. we did this when our events were Italian front themed and it roped in a fair number of hardcores who graduated into a full impression. once you get going you simply phase that out.
you'll also find that if you keep the scope of your event's tight you'll fair better. IE don't reenact the Bulge, instead focus on "The fight for Dugout #23" and keep it squad on squad focused. You'll be surprised at how 'big' an narrow focused event can be made to fell even with 5-6 vs 5-6.

Tnks Paladin I'm actually in Colorado. Ready to rock and roll my primary problem is actually finding time to get off work to play. The one day airsofters always seem to play is saturday when I work.

I thought I would chime in. I live in northern Colorado, and have played airsoft for over 3 years now. There are VERY few players that use WWII weapons, other then the CYMA Thompsons & MP40s. I have met sgtkillroy1944 a few times before at the local airsoft field. I don't have any of the uniform or gear load outs, but have a few of the guns - Bar 1918, Kar 98, Thompson, M3 grease gun, Sten gun, MP40, MP44, Mauser C96 pistol & carbine, M2 carbine, PPSH, and Luger. I too would love to see more WWII involvement in the Colorado area.

Paladins approach is sound and worth considering. Initially only three or folks showing up is enough for pictures and to get things rolling. The key is to start. " A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step."

TG THE REGIMENT Oh man these posts are old haha I am A tech at Fox Airsoft And I will keep you guys posted. The owners here and a few of the guys want to start something, the only things is that non of us have the money to start a whole new kit and then get a new gun/mags and such. Personally I don't have the money for such a thing and I think the other guys here are waiting for a concrete team to form so they can base their kits off of that team. I will keep pushing here for a WWII team to form but for now its up to you guys. I will help where I can making Weapons and such, Aging guns if you dont know how to do it. Just let me know if you need any help with something of that sort.

You just gotta let them know, one step at a time! Not as cheap as modern day impressions, but it just takes time patience and dedication! Ebay is their best friend. Hell it took me a year and a half to finish my impression.
