I have been looking at the AMG Mp 40 and ,I noticed that it only puts out 280 fps ,is there a way to make it shoot a higher fps level? and do I have to worry about it breaking ?

its an agm mp40, not an amg. Look at the threads relating to it on the forum, they'll give you a good idea of what to expect. Yes, it can be upgraded.

Just like an other gearbox. Its a Verison III gearbox. Replace what you want in it. Make sure you replace the piston if you up grade the spring.

Let me recommend some advice from personal expierience...DO NOT TAKE APART THIS GUNS GEARBOX! If youve never done it before, dont start now. I just recommend leaving it as is...I do wish I followed this tid bit of advice earlier. ;D Franz

When first introduced these guns shot at 280 to 290 FPS. In their current form right out of the box they shoot at 345 FPS and in my opinion certainly don't need to be upgraded. They shoot great and I've had no problems with either of mine. I mounted one in my original Killbucket 30 Cal and it soldiers on very nicely. The original gun wasn't powerful enough for an MG in my opinion but the current ones are just fine.
Anyone want the take off body shell?

look, there are pages and pages and pages..... about all of this. If you're asking a question thats very basic and general, I suggest saving yourself (and everyone else) some time waiting for/ and writing answers and look around the forum....thats what the information here is for. At least try to keep questions on the same topic as you originally stated.

ebay, or any reliable major airsoft retailer. Check out some of the normal airsoft sites, agm mp40's should be at most of them. Try looking in the vendor reviews section to see who's good and who's not.

I am thinking about getting an mp40 from WGC , but I was wondering if there is a difference between the Jet custom version and the regular AGM MP40, can any one help me?

The 'Jet Custom' had the fire selector (single or full auto switch) removed and the hole patched over. I'm not sure but I think they have quit selling it. It's still cheaper for you to buy one from eBay or from a dealer here in the US. also, I edited your original post to cure the typo-itis title

The Chinese guns that come complete with a battery and charger presents a nice value statement but be advised that the batteries included are of very poor quality (as are the chargers) so anticipate the need to get a better, compatible battery and plan on using the included battery as an emergency backup.
The AGM MP-40 is quite impressive in its stock form currently and as mentioned earlier performs much better then when first introduced. In my opinion as a sub machine gun it does NOT require upgrading at all. It shoots very pwerfully at 345 FPS with 20 gram. Even at 290 it was fine. Remember you don't actually get much additional range even with fairly significant increases in FPS. Lightweight BBs lose inertia very quickly after about 100 feet. To dramtically increase range you need to upgrade to well beyond most fields safety restrictions. You also dramatically reduce the guns durability. (Even after pouring hundreds and hudreds of dollars into all the major components)

Another concern is battery life. A stiffer spring will eat up the small(ish) battery rather quicky and lowers ROF, though it's cool to have a slow ROF on an MP-40. I have one from the earlier production runs. The sights don't line up properly, finish is rough and it's quite inaccurate, FPS is about 320. But still haven't had a single issue with it. I love it! PS. Login doesn't work for some reason, so I'll have to write as a "guest".

You will need to invest in a new battery and charger. Once you do, you will notice a significant improvement in the rate of fire in your gun. Anybody who buys one of these guns needs to understand that another $60+ will be necessary to get a new charger and battery.
There is no way around this.

I have already bought the battery , and I don't think that the charger is charging anything.and you did not add shiping,it is mor like $80-$90 . an then you have to add in the cost for the mags and the poches , so buy the time you are done it is going to cost you around $280-$300. I was asking for a temporay fix , or if there is a way to fix the battery ?
