Anyone seen this film from China about the Chinese Civil War that came out in 2007? I just recently got it and i highly recommend it, very gritty and realistic i think. Plus loads of WWII era weapons

I've NEVER seen a Johnson rifle used in a movie! Very odd,but neat rifle. A friend of mine had one years ago till he got divorced and forced to sell it...

Here's a part of the movie i found on you tube , look closely at the sharpshooter , he's the one with the Johnson , there's some burlap around the front end of it pause the clip at 0:07 and you'll see it.

alot of johnson products, both rifles and LMGs, got into the hands of the OSS in SE asia in the last year of the war....many of these were given to chinese unit that the OSS was dealing with at the time.between that and the remaining johnson products that were used by the CIA to help outfit Brigada 2506 for the Bay of Pigs invasion are the reason these guns are soooo rare.....i bet there is a local police armory somewhere in southern cuba that would be interesting to get a look at....lol..

There would only be a couple in those armories , the rest are still at the bottom of the Bay of Pigs in what's left of the Houston and the Rio Escondido cargo ships.

haha....ding....we have a winner...i was wondering who was going to be first to mention the supply ships...yeah but given the conditions i don't think they would have done well on the bottom after 45+ years...not like the cubans give out lots of dive permits either...lol..or i'd be hitting all those spanish wrecks along the northern coast.... the movie reminds me of tae guk GI in how the action sequences are shot...very well done...
