I have been looking high and low for the tanaka trench gun. Does anybody know where i could get my hands on one of these? Or if there is another way to get a skirmish-able trench gun?

I did about the samething. I took an M58A riot shotgun and converted it. It's not real pretty but looks the part from about ten feet away. It was a cheap conversion and very usable. Email me and I send you photos.

hmmm How very clever of you Whiplash to avoid the deletion rule by necro-posting in a 5 month old thread... I don't believe for a second that you actually thought your response would be remotely helpful to a question posed that long ago, and you didn't even bother to check if it was in stock, as 2ndBat did and you have managed to pull him into this now as well.... So, I now have the happy duty to go through the rest of the Review thread and look for you next opportunity to annoy and beat you too it. I've got a side bet that this doesn't end well for you... Do us ALL a favor and stay the heck out of this section unless you actually have a review to post Whiplash hows that for a 'new rule' ?

Ok. I was thinking about buying the trench gun, and then I realized that it was an old post. But I figured that if the person would still be looking for updates this could help. And I didn't know the gun was out of stock. I just knew that it was on the website, so I thought that if the person saw it, it might help. And for your info I'm not trying to be annoying. I'm trying to get involved in WW2 airsoft events (through this post) to find out about events in my area that my team could go to. And for your info (yes, for your info again) I've been a fan of WW2 since I was at least 3. So I'm try to get info from you old "vets" of WW2 knowledge and figure things out. Plus, what harm could posting a webite that sells guns do? Is it really that big of a deal that I did that trying to help someone? Sorry for trying.

The point is (and I missed it as well) this is a review section. The proper place to post and inquire about something you were looking for, would probably have been The marketplace or radio shack. Guiness is tasked with keeping the threads on topic and in the right category and to tighten up folks shot group (including mine) when we get out of step in formation. he's a grizzled old vet and pretty ornery when he hasn't had his coffee. He's dropped all of us for 10 so don't feel like the lone ranger.
Take a hard look at your foot locker from time to time and square it away and you'll be fine. Like anyone in the military the smart thing is to try not to be noticed or get on the bad side of the brass. Welcome to the forum, stand tall, stick out your chest and wipe that silly grin off your face.

Alright. I'll close this part of the forum from my "nonsense" (that I didn't mean to cause). I'll try to make better decisions. Maybe. haha. I will.

2nd Bat, as usual is dead on- I'm a jerk when I haven't had my cup of joe and I've been up late recently working on a project, so....yeah, note to self, double up on the anti-jerk meds.... ;-) Not to bang on about it, but yes- the "Review" Section is for reviews- I thought I have been annoyingly clear about that and also a big yes, I'm trying to separate the 'wheat from the chaff' and weed out the "not-a-review" from the desired content in there, so to have to say it again and again and again, gets old fast. Here's a Protip for you though- While I do believe you when you say you resurrected that old thread to assist that guy, the exact same thing could have been done, and would have been better done, by sending him a PM.... ;-) Respectfully, Sgt. Jerkyface
