i've been trying to find a good german sidearm and i've been thinking about the hfc mauser or the WE luger with 8 inch barrel. could someone tell me if either of these guns are worth the $100.
by the way i'm new here, but not new to ww2 or airsoft

Hey man I see you live in Michigan. If you'd like to hook up with our unit that would be great. We'll probably be having a game sometime soon. I think the WE luger is a decent sidearm though I'd get the 5in version as its the most realistic and can fit in a holster.

Are you doing an officer or NCO impression? MG crew? If not realistically, you shouldn't have a sidearm.Enlisted mens sidearms were their bayonets.

Just a suggestion. I would wait until you have 3-10 people in a squad before doing an NCO impression..unless you are old like me and Private seems kinda silly looking. Even then my 3rd PnzrGr impression is off a private.

Not a lot of use of the Artillery Luger by front line troops during WWII .

It was used by the Kriegsmarine for get this " Anti boarding teams" they had them in the weapons locker to defend the ship.
The Arty Luger was the first pistol i shot as a kid , it was my Great Grandfather's issue pistol , he was a Cavalry Officer and carried his on a holster on the side of his horse , it was an awesome pistol to shoot.

Being a leutnant with 3 guys looks kinda goofy, but you tend to see it in reenacting and AS.

That is why I suggested NCO. Cpl certainly works best with just a few men I think.

Yea but the thing is they weren't very common at all in WWII. Yes some people used them but generally we try to portray the norm and that just isn't the norm. Yea you'll see a reenacting unit with a captain, a lieutenant, three sergeants, and a corporal. I guess none of their privates are ever able to make it out

NOBODY wants to be a lowly private! Everyone wants military bling on their uniforms! And who's to stop them.. I've seen guys portraying a German private or pfc,but they'd also have a friggin knights crass around their necks! WTF??

in that case i'll be using the sten and kar 98k as primary weapons, and the luger as a sidearm.
