Pretty good so far. Inexpensive Medical Bags are at www.bayonetinc.com, they are pretty reliable and well made. Also remember helmet decals. You can go with the square- or circular decals. Mainly, the squares (what I use) were in photographs in Italy and Germany 1945, and I believe saw a small amount of use in Italy in 1943. Of course, the circular design is more recognized but both are covered by the Geneva Convention.

Well I wish the medic bags were in stock . And what I've read is that some medics in WWII painted over their medic decals as to not give away their squad's location in a battle. I know, risky to get shot and all but I'll stick with it.

Medic, about the medic decals on the helmet I've seen a lot of 3rd ID medics without them so I am making it optional with my medics. Colhesler, I'd just let the M43 jacket drape down more so it isn't puffing up in the back, and take the leather chin strap off. And of course get a WWII medic bag whenever you can. Otherwise good job.

BEAVER... how big around are your arms?
Colhesler, change the glasses, get some WWII style ones. If you look at Bodhi farther up on the page, he has similar or correct glasses.
(and who gives a rats-ass if they make you look like harry potter!)

colhesler, your leggings are on the wrong legs. What? They look correct to me... They were on the wrong legs in the first set of pictures he posted, but are correct now.

The average chest size of a US soldier at the beginning of WW2 was 34 inches. By the end of the war it had expanded to 36 inches. Following the depression of the 30s guys were skinny skinny skinny. My father (oldest male out of 11 children) had never eaten 3 meals in a day or owned a single item of new clothes until he went in the Army in 1939. That was not uncommon. Skinny is good for a WW2 impression.

High and tight's actually inaccurate for a WWII impression.

colhesler, for a late war impression, November 1944 and onwards, the M43 Jacket, OD Cart belt, and OD carlisle pouch are all fine. All you'd need to complete a late war impression is a pair of double buckle boots. For earlier war you can just wear your wools as M41's weren't worn much in the summer heat. A haversack is a nice addition to your impression but soldiers for the most part left them in there foxhole.

foscko44: Drop the Israeli pouch, a GI wouldn't have been issued something like that, even if it was a copy of a British item. I'd say tighten up your gear so it doesn't hang so low, and work on getting an OD shirt (wool) to go with your trousers. Depending on what time period you want to portray I'd also recommend getting a M41 Field Jacket. Looks like you have Marine or Navy leggings, judging by the number of eyelets. You can get a pair of M1938s pretty cheap depending on the size. Good job, and keep it up. Nick

Would a 325th GIR trooper have a pair of Class A's, B's, C's, and D's?

He would, although technically they were not called that back then. The Class A and B are essentially the same, excluding the 4 pocket blouse. Class C would be your khaki uniform, and D would be the "fatigues" or HBT uniform.
