Nice rkrueger! The only thing is, you have this in the Stitch Knot-See Thread. The m4 isn't exactly WWII . But the uniforms are looking GREAT! Keep it up! Click

actually, Nimlas, rkrueger, and doc burtzen should move pics to the working on it thread, Unless there is Nothing modern in the picture, then that picture can stay, lets just keep it cleaned up. The working on it thread is just as cool, but the stitch nazi thread is, well its supposed to be obsessively perfect. for example, Doc, just move this one i131.photobucket.com/albums/p298/matthewmbutzen/100_0615.jpgNimlas move i10.photobucket.com/albums/a102/ww2aa/504%202007/IMG_1591.jpgi10.photobucket.com/albums/a102/ww2aa/504%202007/IMG_1602.jpgand rkrueger, you know which one to move

I always thought the differing levels were for the harshness of the feedback. Like, if you want a light critiscism, put it in the I'm Working on it thread, but, if you want people to tear it to pieces, put it in the stitch Not-See....Hmm...you learn something everyday, eh?

Very nice impression doc. WHich company made your uniform, and how tall are you? Seems like that one may be the solution for me, to get a uniform that is long enough

I hope you can to this for me: Measure the sleeve length (from the shoulder seam, to the end of the sleeve), and also tell me which size the label tells.
Thanks!

nice pics doc, quick question though. What are you using for a strap on the medic bag? is it just a map case strap with the pad taken off?

It was a GP strap we rigged up to stop the bags from swinging forward. Also then it would be ready for aftert the jump, when he would ditch the company bag for the aid station and take off the rig. He would have that to hook up the one bag. It was a combined effort lmao. -Cary

what some medics did was wear the 2 pouch/suspender setup on jumps so they had equipment for the aid station... then when on the ground theyd get to the aidstation drop the other bag take the litter strap and drop the 2nd bag and suspenders there and the medic armband marked it as airborne drop off... they would then carry the 1 pouch as a field medic as it is most comfortable for most... also some units like the 505th PIR had drop bags... they were rigger made to carry 10 large carlisles, 15 small carlisles, 10 boxes of 5 syrettes, and some other things...

The front site on a Garand is a removable item. Held in place by a small horizontal screw. It's not uncommon to see them gone. Because they are so large it is very conspicuous when they have fallen off or been removed. They are a surprisingly expensive item to buy and like anything realted to a Garand some versions are extremely expensive and difficult to find.

I had the cartridge belt back at the car, but i couldn't be bothered to change it over! I'm sure I did read somewhere that they stopped using the cartridge belt at one point. But i can't remember when. Nick
