I've been to ATF's website and walk-in store so when I saw the economy gear on their website I got some in the store and it was just as magnificent as they're normal repros. So if your'e wondering, "Is the economy gear good at ATF?" Yes it most certainly is. The items consisted of their garand belt and M1942 suspenders, all swell.

The economy Garand belt isn't as good as ATF's version. Its made by sturm, I own one and the grommets aren't as large or durable as ATF's plus the materiel isn't as nice. The pocket flaps also seem to be shaped wrong.

Well...economy gear is never going to be as good as ATF's, but if your short on cash and see what you need in the economy gear section, it's still a great buy.

I handled one of their carbine pouches, both ATF, and ATF economy, and the economy ones are actually pretty damned good!

Yea the metal hardware is also light. I would not buy the Cartridge belt or pistol belt because of the flimsy grommets though. They don't hold up well and they look bad even from far away. Other then that though most of the US gear is fine.
I would avoid most of the German stuff on the other hand especially the breadbag.
On another note I can't find the US economy gear on ATF's website anymore.
Sturm is ok they just need to get there patterns better.

On another note I can't find the US economy gear on ATF's website anymore. they are currently out of stock on all of it but the Economy Carbine Pouch: I just was on their site today. you have to go to the main us page and scoll down to the field gear section to find a link to it.

The ICS and GnG Garand clips Do Not readily fit in the M1936 ammo belt pouches. Too snug to easily insert or remove.

On an ICS Garand, you'll need to remove the base plat of the mag to get it to fit in the proper pouch. Don't worry though, its easy removal and has no effects on loading and feeding.
