Its always the 14 year old kids with there heads so far up they can the inside of there neck, at least thats what they always told me . Haha I have no room to talk though I'm only 15 myself. Heres some real good advise I heard. Get you and your friends some real nice, accurate, well planned out impressions and guns. Than get the word out and start planning out the days you go out to your local field and try to grab some more recruits. Once you have a regular turn out and you all have quality impressions, you should start to refer to yourself as that unit and began to operate separate from the local field and more as a team unit. However, if you are really into it and you have the time and the money, your on the right path. Just remember its costly and its time consuming but its defiantly worth it. Especially because once you turn 16 you can join most reenactment groups and if you do things right, you can jump right in. Anyway, thats just my 2 cents but Its all your call bro. cheers to you and good luck mate

I may add you have to be 18 to join a reenactment unit to handle real firearms. Airsoft, its up to the unit.

Well there where Marines in the ETO , but didn't do much fighting except for the few that where part of the OSS , but there where Marines during D-Day and some did go ashore in Normandy to guard prisoners , but they did not see combat there.

I advise Army. Marines are great but finding japaneise reenactors is very hard, especially in Maryland. There are plenty of inexpensive German weapons, which means moe Germans. IJA weapons are expensive and rare, only by tanaka and maruzen/marushin I believe. What age (just say group, like 5-10, 11-14, 14-18 etc. If you're an adult or sophmore/senior were all 8th graders and freshman. Don't be fooled by the age i've been a WW2 nut for years and then I stumbled upon WW2AA, forgot my old username/passcode and had to make a new one. I've been interested in airsoft for over a year now. Then I learned Kilroy was a WW2 nut after meeting him at scouts, and we started this with our other friend a little while ago.

Oh we were going to battle of the bulge but we didn't realize it was an hour away until a few days before, so our parents didn't want to take us. Wish I went though, Kilroy is making a Browning 1917 water cooled MG, maybe an air cooled. The other guy and I are making Garands out of CYMA M14s. We don't want to be all Thompsons like some other groups. We advise garand conversions or that Black Bear BAR 1918A2, which doesn't look like it's coming out.

I highly reccommend 2ndBat's M14 to Garand conversion kit. If you are looking for inexpensive and easy to put together then that is just the thing. Buy a used Cyma M14 and a kit and you could be in with a grand for probably less than 250.00. The kits don't match the look of his real wood completed guns but they are pretty good looking I have seen them up close.

How much is a kit? Oh and usmcscarano marushin M1 carbines have to be cocked after every shot. Magazines are expensive, and they dont work well in the cold since they're gas powered. You could buy an M2, and buy a $50 M1 mag. M2s can be fired on semi without cocking after every shot. Again in not a creeper lol just how old are you usmcscarano? Just say yor age range to protect against possible predators. I just want to know just in case you are older than 15 or younger than 10, cause our group is made up of 8th and 9th graders and I'm sure you don't want to play with kids if you're an adult.

Oh yes the military show at fort Indian town gap in PA is a great place to get gear. The show is actually a reenactment called the Battle of the Bulge. It is in late January. Google it or go to www.atthefront.com and look at their evEnts page. read my previous post if you haven't in case you haven't.

like i said im 22 years old, but i really dont care who i play airsoft with, even if they are freshmen haha, im not a creeper or anything, just a buff, i do of course hang out with my college buddies who play airsoft and we just like airsofting so age has no matter to us i can always be the like the team adult at functions with your parents permision just in case there are raffles, md laws wont let a minor walk off a field with a gun they won lol i may even be able to find some guys my own age who would be interested in playing as well, but at leaast ive found a group near home to stay contacted with

If to thought I meant college freshman I mean 8th graders and high school freshman. Don't worry we aren't annoying like other people our age. So if this works there is Kilroy as HMG gunner, our other guy and I as rifleman, and you as scout or assistant gunner since a carbine is ideal weight for carrying a tripod also. The tripod I think will just be PVC, kilroys dad is a big WWI enthusiast and bought some deac. 1919A4s. So kilroy did the airsharp one but it had a few flaws in detail, so he's basing a new one on his dads real machinegun. Sorry I didn't see your earlier post about your age. Yeah don't worry I don't think you're a creeper just a fellow enthusiast. At the reenactment I mentioned the vendors sell uniforms and gear for usually good prices. You may want to check out the new china BAR, since the carbine is so expensive and 8mm.
