Would it matter that the outer barrel didn't slide off? Because the actual barrel is fine, except now that the one part is broke underneath where the grip is it wobles way to much to use.

I checked it this morning, and it seemed fine. I did not really mess with it too much though. But yes, sgttom is right.

I have the exact same problem that you have. Its an extremely common problem with this gun. It'll pretty much happen eventually to any CYMA Thompson. So anyways I know exactly what your talking about. Anyhow, the inner Barrel may not be able to be removed if you epoxy the outer barrel on permanently. That's another reason this solution is better. www.ww2airsoft.org.uk/php/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=9183

I was thinking that would be a consequence of putting the solution on the barrel. That's why I only glued where the break was.

Have you tried messing with it? Like performing the regular actions one would do with a Thompson? eg. aim it, put it over your shoulder, etc. ?

Thank you for all the help, I'm sure I'll figure it out.
I have a question though sgttom, will the approach you took still fit the hand guard comfortably? I sure don't want to have the hand guard missing on my Thompson.

The reason why I don't want to weld the actual barrel is because it was never falling off. Only because the part where the grip goes attached to the reciever did it become wobly. Also, if I do that I won't be able to remove the inner barrel if something happened

You can still remove the inner barrel, I dont know why you wouldn't be able to. The jbw should not even touch the inner, putting jbw on the break only will not solve the issue, you have to put it where I have stated. That's the only way you're going to solve it with jbw.

And I say that because my inner barrel STILL can be removed after using jbw in the prescribed area

And I say that because my inner barrel STILL can be removed after using jbw in the prescribed area I wasn't sure. I know the JB weld wouldn't touch the inner barrel. I just thought the outter barrel might have to be removed first. Anyways you proved me wrong. I part that attaches to the receiver does the same thing that gluing the barrel on would do. They both attach the barrel to the receiver. JB weld is just not strong enough to keep the barrel from wobbling unless you do it in the area I suggested before. I had to do some sanding for it to fit, it was pretty easy though. Making the attachment is the hard part. You could just try the JB Weld method though as we know that it won't interfere with the inner barrel now.

I think I'm just going to go with the weld. Now I saw the picture where you indicated where to apply the weld to. Just to be sure, you apply it to the whole circumference of the indicated piece? (around the whole thing)?

Mine did the same thing, I ran an aluminum pipe through it and epoxied it in place, works fine form me!
