Hi all new to the site.
I am working on my Vietnam Sniper loadout (I know you are all into WWII) but I want to make/buy a 1903 Springfield Sniper rifle.
This would be the first time I did anything with the internals of an airsoft gun or RS.
First question, I am having a hard time finding a BAR10 with out paying to much but i found a UTG Master Sniper for real cheap. Could this work in a Springfield conversion???
Thanks you guys post really great threads about conversions.

All of the clone VSR springer rifles can be used. However as has been mentioned in many other threads on the subject if you're going to go to the trouble and considerable expense to do a conversion. (The parts costs quite a bit and the time required is considerable) It's a pitty to get done and have a rifle that doesn't work after a thousand rounds. Spend the extra $60.00 and get a proven and reliable BAR10. They of course aren't fool proof either but much much better than the other Chinese knock offs. The BAR10s currently are available at Airsoftmegastore for $100.00 I just bought six of them there. Although a few were present during the Nam war the Garand M1C and D was considerably more prevalent and even then was widely replaced by the M14 and the M700. A sniper load out for Nam would not logically include a Springfield.

Yea I know the M700 is more widely used but I was more or less looking for a project to keep myself busy, (Just got laid off and after 1 week of sirring around doing nothing I am going stir crazy). I am attempting the $20 M38 now but struggling with my lack of tools and wood skill. Maybe when I get remployed I can afford to buy a 1903 stock and BAR10 and have someone else do the wood work.
