Scenario synopsis Bloody Sunday! D-day+5, France 1944
{Macro note: this scenario is a ‘flavor’ of the theater scenario and NOT one based on an actual historic engagement. Rather it is a sampling of so many small unit actions that took place within the greater whole and as such we are focusing on the authenticity of the event mechanic rather than tie it down to a specific event that creates exclusion of some troop types. This event is roughly placed on the line between the Us 1st army engaged at Carentan/ Lison and the British 2nd army action at Tilly. ]
Allied units have invaded at the Normandy beaches and driven hard into France. Bolstered by a massive airdrop the Allies have punched hard into German defenses all across the front. All around the countryside small units encounter one another in numerous deadly small unit actions as each side probes for weakness and potential counter attack potential.
Our lens focuses on the farm house of Larue de' Sean. Currently a German collection point for wounded and a staging ground for a small ad hoc unit of mixed SS/ Heer/ and Fallshirmjager units that are separated form their parent units.. Also on the scene is a collection of French/German anti partisan operatives caught in the hellstorm of the invasion.
French resistance fighters knowledgeable of the area and the german defenses have lent a hand in directing units towards the small farmhouse and its strategic importance.
Meanwhile squad level fragments from several larger allied units in the area have closed in on the natural cross roads that the farm inhabits on a small bluff over looking the local countryside. in an area where elevation is an uncommon commodity , allied commanders have targeted this site for an artillery staging base to support further drives into the German resistance.
The job of clearing the Farm and its accompanying defenses falls on a mixed group or Army Rangers and Paratroopers. Day 6 of the operation promises no break in the intense action.

Sorry, eastern front or pacific impressions are not kosher. We're willing to work with new folks to round out a 10' impression but all out non-theater or non-period stuff will not fly. we will however work with those that can get close. if you have a Marine impression and are willing to remove your camo helmet cover, and wear your HBT's in a more Army Euro fashion we'll consider that acceptable. Please do not be shy to ask about your impression, we work very hard to help those that really want to come do so in appropriate stuff.
If you intend on participating please respond in the body of the forum with your true name and the side or force with which you intend to participate:
IE William smith, German Fallshirmjager.
NOT bazooka 919, US
This is the field it is a private field and is fully authorized for this event.
