I got my new SRC MP40 today from Ontarget airsoft, I am surprised how much better it is externally then the AGMs and others. It chrono'd in the shop between 275 and 288 so thats not to bad for outa the box.
Again the body is fantastic with no real wobble between upper and lower receiver. The Mag as some back and fourth play but I don't think that will effect it at all.
I probably paid a little more then I wanted... but it appears to have been worth it, can't wait to fire it.
Oh yeah, it has Orange muzzlenutitis so I may try Acetone as another board member suggested... unless someone knows a source of mp40 muzzle nuts?

It is of the Metalicus variety... It appears they just sprayed the original Nut Orange

I tried loading a king arms mag (with the feed in front instead of at the back of the mag) in the SRC...and it fed! But it doesn't lock in place.

the internals of the mags for src are swapped around, theyll feed fine, just if you want them to lock in you have to take it apart and and swap the internals around

Is this the blowback version? What parts are steel? Thanks.

src only makes blowback mp40s, also most of the upper reciever is steel or all of it, but theres two tones of coloring for the metal, ones black and ones like gunmetal gray almost, i suspect the black is some metal(still strong) and gunmetal color is steel, also the gunmetal colored metal can rust from just air such as a real gun would but not as quickly

Actually, the SRC and the AGM have just about the same amount of steel in their SRCs...verified via magnet. SRC has tighter tolerances though.

the src model looks great .. I just have had some feeding problems with the mags which I solved.
the other thing about mags is the wind-up wheel (very deep in). I had to remove the bottom plate to have easier access.
