Yes indeed. A few guys over at ASF were talking about it, but all they said was that they heard of one coming out later this year. Also the Dboys model.

Where did they hear it from? I haven't heard or seen anything from either Dboys or ICS. I hope the Dboys M1 Garand is nothing like their Kar98 if they do indeed make one.

According to XM at Airsoft Retreat (who has personal dealings with ICS) He checked after I asked him about the mislabeled M1/Enfield poster. (the one with the grease gun) It is indeed a mistake on the poster. ICS is making an AEG Garand. You can check here for his info (limited) You can see where I asked him the questions (Im Burke there as well) www.airsoftretreat.com/forums/index.php?topic=63196.800

My God, our prayers have been answered! I believe one WWII aeg rifle will lead to another, and then another. I have high hopes for ICS.

Let us just hope it is skirmishable and pratical...and reliable... then it quite possibly could be the greatest edition yet to WWII airsoft

I just got a CYMA M14 to convert, I hope I can squeeze this in if it's affordable. What is the price range of the typical ICS AEG?

usually, their guns range in the 200's to 400's for a part or full metal AEG. mp5's are their cheapest model, then it goes up to m4s and sigs, then tops off at their l85 series and their galil.
Im willing to bet the garand will cost around 200-250ish, since its not full metal. If its real wood however, thats a whole 'nother story.

Hopefully they'll have a plastic and wood stock version! Hoping for under $300! I am a cheap guy but I would pay for one if it was under $300 and was skirmishable! I don't see what they could mess up on. This is fantastic news! Best mistake ever!

I do believe the post on the other forum said full metal with proprietary mags!

I'm hoping the "proprietary" mags aren't fragile or expensive, but hey, I can't really complain either way.

Instead of getting the ICS m3 I'll wait my time and get my hands on ICS M1 Garand. Yes baby! Does anyone have an ETA on this?

That my friend is precisely the kind of comment that causes manufacturers to keep future plans under wraps. I truly hope these rumors have some merit but alas after literally 12 years of pursuing WW2 airsoft and hoping and praying for an Airsoft AEG Garand and having rumor after rumor never come to fruition. While I truly hope I am wrong, there is nothing here that causes me to think there is an M1 Garand imminent.
Consider for a moment the Blackbear, Evike BAR.
I remember hearing from so many good reliable overseas sources that a Grease gun AEG was imminent Three years later it is finally out with another discussed.
My prediction is 2013? Maybe. If it is made and is priced in sync with most rifles and actually works well it will be a huge enhancement to our hobby. Let's all keep our fingers crossed but don't hold your breath!

I have to agree with 2nd Bat, I remember seeing the plastic molds for the ICS FNC in 2007... It's 2011 and the gun is basically just being debuted at Shot.
Enjoy the wait!

The origins of this 'rumour' is the ICS catalogue back page, it shows an SMLE which is labelled M1. The pic is indeed wrong, I emailed ICS to confirm one way or another and they are making a Garand, so the poster on the airsoft retreat forum (who I believe has very good contacts with the company) is correct. Quote from the ar poster.... However whilst the catalogue pic shows it as a new model for 2011 and there wasn`t even a mock up at the Shot show, I`d say it`s fairly safe to assume that the M1 won`t be out before June/July at least, probably closer to the end of the year.

I haven't heard too much about this, but if ICS themselves say the pic was wrong at least we know it's coming!

i saw that pic on ASGI!! it is so legit! but the only concern i have about the M1 garand is will it be skirmishable, and how many shots will it be capable of holding

I thought there was something odd about the ASGI pic when I posted it. The M3 is actually a pic of the old springer grease gun which used to be available (note the torch on ris on the side of the receiver). Makes me wonder if the Garand pic is a bit suspect as well.

Oh lord I hope not. If so then Dboys is still coming out with a gas version It was at Hong Kong Toy Fair show this January. The design isn't said to be based of the Marushin though.
