I hear it's very reliable and can take a lot of abuse. I've also heard from a few reviews that the gas will last roughly 2 magazines depending on the tempature. You get a good jolt when you fire it too apparently. It looks amazing. Steel and aluminum internals as well. "Built like a tank", one review said.
I don't own the gun, But I was trying to single out the answers to your questions based on multiple reviews, if that helps ;D

haha It does I have seen probably every review on this gun and it looks like it is fantastic! I just wanted to hear an unbiased review. I am thinking about getting the RA-Tech WE M14. They take a WE M14 and put a TB in it with a new hopup rubber and put a wood stock on it and everything. they make it into a sniper rifle and I saw one video of Scout the Doggie airsoft where one guy was using RAtechs EBR version of it and he was getting one hit kills at a great range for a GBB and the best part.... You could see his breath when he would breathe. and in the later part of the video it started snowing that means it is still good in the cold (its -20 right now so it would be completely useless haha) but still

That sounds amazing! I thought the RA-Tech WE M14 was just a WE M14 with a wooden stock on it, but hey, thats even cooler! If you can get the parts attached very securely and have a good hopup and barrel, it would be very accurate. I say buy it, it looks amazing!

I wouldn't see the need in the RA Tech one now. I got the plain ol' WE M14 and it's so SOLID!! Tougher than any AEG or GBBR I've ever held!! It's heavy too! More than my AEG M1 Garand!! After picking the M14 up I picked my Garand up and it felt like a feather.

After picking the M14 up I picked my Garand up and it felt like a feather. It is only 150 bucks more than a regular WE and it makes the gun more realistic in almost every way and it also makes it freakin fantastic in the cold (it is REALLY COLD in colorado lol). In one of Scout the Doggies videos you can see a guy using a RA-tech M14 EBR (same as the one I want but with a different stock) and it is snowing and he is getting kill after kill after kill it is amazing. Plus I am on a Modern team and a WWII team and I am the spotter for my modern teams sniper so I have to be good at mid range. Hey I bet you could take the WE and just drop it in a garand stock and it would be pretty close to fitting. Cole you should try that man.

I bet it would fit with some modding. The gun can be limited to semi auto, for a Garand (or just to make your shots count) by simply removing the bar that contacts the charging handle when its all the way forward. After that you could remove the selector if you wanted. I don't think I'll be converting it though, just because it's so awesome how it is. My only gripe is the stock pieces. The heat sheild is made from crappy, glossy reflective flimsly plastic. And the stock has some very uncomfortable, obvious seams on it. I hope to replace these with wood and a better heat sheild. At least the stock is partially weighted so it balances the gun's weight. No bolt or charging handle will be breaking here I can tell. The charging handle itself is made of steel (you can find out with a magnet) and is reinforced with a second, non visible from the outside, steel bar on the left side. the bolt cover itself is super thick aluminum and has a beefy inner bolt. Alot of other things on the gun are steel, like the trigger guard, full auto bar, the parts in the front that keep the stock on, and the rear butt-stock-flap-up-thing-so-you-can rest-your-shoulder-on-it thing . Not to mention the thing has huge velocity. I let my dad shoot it, and he thought the bb's weren't leaving the barrel because you can't see them. I then, confused, took the rifle and hit a 1 inch width fence pole from roughly 100 feet with one shot. I'm so freakin' amazed by this thing, it's un-real!!! Go for the RA one I think, this thing is a monster but the more steel parts the better

I remember the M14 well as it was an issue rifle for me when I was in the service. The Heat shield on those guns was flimsy plastic so frankly the WE is actually quite accurate in that regard.
Nice to see GBB rifles that actually work although I still would rather not put up with the hassles.

Bit of an old thread but with stock internals I was able to get kills to 200 or more feet. I tested the rifle after the game and hit a target the size of two men shoulder-to-shoulder from 320 feet. FPS was 360 with .28g BBs with the hop-up adjusted for a flat trajectory.
Other than my Marui M1911 and MEU, this is definitely the BEST gas airsoft weapon I've owned so far (and that's been quite a few)

This thread was started a year and a half ago and Im curious ( and hopeful ) to hear that the enthusiasm for this gun is still there after considerable use? What is the long term verdict on this gun? Is it still what you would consider skirmishable?

2nd Batt its good to hear from you again.
MIne is still kicking and its been through a lot. I will take some pictures to show you.
All internal parts have since been replaced with the RA tech ones as the stock WE parts (I have come to learn) suck.
