Attention There is a need for SEVERAL German Airsoft guns for this event. If anyone has and is kind enough to lone out a gun or two for this event, please let me know. All types of German guns are acceptable. Thank you all for your time and consideration. Migs

Hey Joe, I need to know if it is OK for me to come to the site on friday and set up my stuff. Will anyone be there?? I have a parade on saturday morning (10AM) in Swampscott, MA. and it ends ab0ut 1PM. After that I have a 3 hours ride to get to the site. With this, our German camp and props we're bringing may not be set up by the time the tactical starts. Thanks. Kern1944

Just an FYI boys,
Monty is driving us all nuts here at HQ. He wants to go no matter the weather. "If you can land me. I'll go" he says. But forget the Naval gun fire and Air cover, uh Monty? What a megalomaniac!
Maybe we should tell him we've changed our destination to the Pas-de-Calais, maybe he bore all those panzer divisions into submission.

Hey Steve,
Consult with Gerry on this one. He wants the village to be your HQ, but the rest should be kept from me as I am playing too. I will be there on Friday for some guidance, but I would prefer you and Gerry decide on this.
I'll talk to you by Thursday.
Joe

!Achtung Deutsche Soldaten! As we are D-Day minus 3, I want to send out a preliminary communication to all the German reenactors! Since we go live at Sunset or approximately 7:45PM, I expect all German Soldiers to be registered no later than 6PM. That means walking to the village by 6:02 the latest. We will have a company inspection by Oberleuntnant Kern and Myself at 7PM. We will be looking at uniform standards and taking notes for discussion later on as well as the Authenticity award. We will be garrisoned in the village (ST Mere Eglise) itself, this will be our headquarters and the heart of our operations, this is where we will be bivouacking for the weekend. If you feel you need to bring your Zelt tent please do so otherwise there will be shelter overhead. Be sure to have all of your ammo, personal items, food, water and other non period items discreetly hidden in period rucksacks, ammo cans and crates. We will be giving the Authenticity award at this event (General assault badge + Documents) so step it up boys! I will have my FLAK powder cooler crate with ice which will be available to all of you for storing your perishable items. Be sure to mark your names on your items with a sharpie marker. Please put yourselves in the mindset of a member of the 352nd or 91st Luftlande Infanterie divisions of that evening/morning of June 5 or 6- - An army "soft" from 4 years of occupation
- Are there or aren't there Allied paratroops in the area?
- Is this a diversion or is this the real deal?
- Obey your designated platoon leaders
Here is a short list of things I think you will need- - Airsoft specific items-weapon, ammo, 2-3 pairs of goggles, spare batteries
- Your uniform, some wool under layers or overcoat in case it gets cool at night & extra pairs of dry wool socks
- Sleeping pad, cot, sleeping bag or wool blanket and pillow
- minimum 1 gallon of water and food/snacks to last you the duration of the event
- Plan to kick back and relax for some social time in the village at the conclusion of operations Saturday, snacks & libations are acceptable for those of us "of age" but not too late as we need to be up early for the landings Sunday
- Bring bug juice! GZA is notoriously Buggy and lots of ticks! I treat my clothes prior to the event with Permethrin available at your local EMS or REI- www.ems.com/product/index.jsp?productId=10951679 This is easy to apply, has no scent and will not damage expensive uniforms. I personally use this at every event post Memorial day.
- First aid and personal care products. I will have a full first aid kit in case of injury but you may need some stuff for your own comfort i.e. moleskin, antacid, immodium
This is going to be an EPIC event and you won't want to miss it! There is a lot going on behind the scenes and lots of hard work going into this event. Unfortunately circumstances beyond my control didn't allow me to be a bigger contributer to the planning and work going into it but I am so happy that someone picked up when I thought that my idea was just gonna die. Where I thought my sabbatical was going to weaken the WWIIWFAA it has only made it stronger and I need to send a special dose of appreciation to these guys for stepping up and keeping the momentum going- Joe Migs Steve Hildner Steve Kapotas Brandon Paladino Chris Gerrior These guys have gone above and beyond and you all owe them a handshake and thank you in person when you see them Saturday. I am very proud to be part of this! We are changing WWII airsoft right here... right now in the Northeast! Thanks to all of you! Stay tuned for further updates over the next 2 days! -Gerry
