It sure looks unique. Very nice work from the looks of it. So, is it quiet?
They sell dampers for the VSR guts and that would be a nice add.

When you first started on this build I had my doubts, but it turned out very good. An impressive gun

Its fairly quiet but I have a feeling the "silencer" may be acting more as a resonance chamber. I know it was a bit of an ugly duckling but I'm happy with how they have turned out. Its a shame about the screws on the side of the body if I stated over I would find a way to eliminate them. The second gun is complete and working well. I am planning on putting them both through the chrono tonight and will post the results. I also waxed the first gun to get a better shine on the wood and to add more protection for the steel. I popped outside this morning and took a few photos of the two guns together. I also thought I might explain a little clearer how the mag catches work. I decided the simplest way was to use some high strength magnets instead or a spring and it has worked really well, the whole magwell and catch is made from polycarbonate.

Very nice job! Amazing really. The end result looks very factory and doesn't scream homemade in anyway.

Thank you. Managed to find my Chrono last night and tested the guns. One is spot on 328fps the other is a little higher somewhere around 334fps with a highest reeding of 337fs. The pleasing thing was the consistency of the shots. Both guns were remarkable consistent averaging about a 5fps variation. Gun 1 Gun 2
