I have a 101st airborne impression, supposed to be around D-Day. I have been using a huge M1 helmet without a chin strap and it fell off plenty of times at the last game I went to in may. So the two types of airborne helmets are M1-C, and M2 but are they both used the same time and was one more common?

From my research it appears as though the m2 was used primarily up until late 44-early 45 when the m1c was put into use as a better alternative to the m2.

For d-day it really doesent matter. If u want to be accurate, a lot of fixed bale m1 helmet and m2 helmet paratrooper helmets on d-day were worn.

So i'd be better off with an M2? I just want one that was worn from D-Day onto the end. It seems like the M1C was actually used at the very end though. It sucks that M2s are more expensive at ATF
