This is an old, old, old post by cop9gun and was origionally posted over two years ago, prior to the Chinese gun ban. Don't hold your breath boys. They still have original deposit... Maybe I can get the intrest payments from them?

Yeah I hate to be the grumudgen in the face of hapiness but i wish to tell you a tale of a boy, this boy, who was skimming through Evike on one sunny afternoon in spanish class when for a secong he thought he had hallucinated. Could it be!!!? The legendary BAR that his grandfather wielded, and for a steal of a price a mere $330. So his dad tells him he bought it for him for his birthday the boy was thrilled everyday he checked the ETA for months he waited, and waited, and waited. Then finally the ETA read N/A..... and he was put on hold for hours tiring to reach someone for answers, he got none. This was for his 15th bday he is now 17 and had canceled the order a year and a half in to waiting. I was that boy and i am still extremely bitter about the situation.
this is a perfect example of vaporware and premature rumors about new offerings. This thread announcing the imminent arrival of an affordable AGM MG42 was posted in MAY of 2011, It is now February of 2014 and this long pending offering is apparently just now released. www.airsoftmegastore.com/10124-agm-mg-42-world-war-2-airsoft-aeg-machine-gun-wood-agm-mg42.aspx. Not at the promised $420.00 but at $595.00 (which may of course come down over time). This is classic airsoft. Better late then never. Let's hope it proves valid and turns out to be a reliable great performing gun.
clearly this is why I try hard not to get excited about freshly rumored new guns.

There is a video review on YouTube, the internals are decent and the only steel parts are the bipod and barrel shroud. The rest is aluminum though, not pot metal.

Dracul: It looks like it lost a lot of steam and I now feel bad for randomly dropping off.

stuka: I mean it's not your fault. It is interesting though that things are falling off as we are finally getting our ww2 guns with the type 38/96 and the enfield as well as it recieving a new loading system, it's kind of unfortunate

Dracul: I don't know, maybe its because all the guns are becoming available, there is a decreasing need for the forums.

Dracul: Most of the talk was about making guns, as all the uniform info was already out there, but now the weapons are out there and are usually decent quality.

stuka: well the forum is and should still be useful for updates on guns, creating groups/events and building kits

Cpl. Hicks: I haven't been here in years, but I'm glad to see this forum is still kicking! So much great info on here.

savoy6: anyone know if anyone still carries the enfield?

Dracul: I think Redwolf has a Enfield. If not or not longer, then not until G&G releases theirs. The old gas Iron Airsoft brand SMLE isn't carried by anyone anymore and was such piece of crap. Not worth trying to track one down.
