Does anyone have any experience with their clothing? I've bought a few equipment pieces from them, but not clothing.
Would you recommend these guys?

I have heard mixed things. Some people have said the wool used is cheap. I have never purchased from them though.

I don't know. The tunics look fine. I would personally stick to Ant-z though. My reenacting unit also suggested this place. Pretty good prices too. www.gavinmilitaria.com/index.phpAs far as pants go with the M37.

To my Knowledge Mountain troops were issued with special M40 Trousers. I don't however know the differences between them and regular M40 trousers. I got mine from Millatery Harbor on Ebay. And i must say, they are truly great pants. ithey are nice and soft and fluffy.

YES there is such thing as M40 trousers , they are made in the same cut as the M36's , only in a different shade of Gray , i would have to look at my books to tell you if there are other differences between the M36 and M40s , but it is late and i need to get some sleep.

Yea, I already knew M40's existed..did a little research (basically typed in M40 trousers in google..let it do the rest lol). Plus, quite a few WW2 stores have them. I'm planning on ordering from Hessen Antique now anyways..I figured they'd be higher quality.
Also, why is IMA the best place to get gas mask canisters? Better condition?

I am guessing the IMA gas canisters are just good for the price. Keep in mind just because something is more expensive doesn't mean it is better. Hessen sells Ant-z brand uniforms. If I would have bought my tunic and trousers from them I would have spent $160. Instead I got them from a different place for $130. ;D Same product less money.

Do you know where I could get a pair? Lost Battalions had them so you might want to check them.

I would be wary of Lost Battalions. Their trousers I am sure are top notch however they are going out of business and I have heard people are having trouble ordering from them. Just warning you guys.

IMA can is the highest quality i have ever encountered. they are extremely durable and relatively thick. alternative ones priced higher i have seen were shiny and reinforced my a metal lining on the inside or plastic at times.
Buy it From IMA you WON'T be disappointed, i promise.
as for tunics i have heard hessan is a good place for quality. same with trausers. but i like mine all the same.

i bought my tunic+trousers from reww2.com. they were cheap, and i am completely pleased with the set, aside from a few button popping off. they are very durable. although shipping took an excrutiatingly long time, i finally got them.

How thin is the wool? the sleeves were a little long, but that was easily fixable.the wool was a good thickness, but that was not the case w/their greatcoats. All in all though, most of the items that I got from them were surprisingly good quality, comparable to Hessan or ATF.

An M36 tunic and I don't know what model trousers yet. I bought two sets of the M36 HBT's (only reason I bought 2 was because the first one I accidentally ordered to small) and both were (I still have my second set mind you) were excellent, comes with the reichsaddler (not sewn on), as well as the Knights Cross second class ribbon already attached. I love my set, they are cheap to (price wise!) but the shipping is a little high.

Why go cheap? Shell out the extra money, get at least a Gavin tunic or a Sturm tunic! If you can, get an Ant-Z/Pirschen tunic.

Well, since this thread is about Hikishop, i'll comment about my hikishop stuff. I have their reed green M43 HBTs. They are excellent. A tad big though, you may consider ordering a size low. They are better than ant-z, sturm and youchunhe. And that's all i'm qualified to answer because i don't have any other brands on hand to compare them to. Order from their website instead of their ebay store. It'll be cheaper. For their price point, i don't think you'll be sorry.
