That would be a dream come true haha. If my friend ended up making an airsoft field it would defently have a ww2 theme. No plywood paintball planks for cover but bomb craters and destroyed buildings.

Last I checked SB798 has already passed in one half of the California Legislature. Your legislators are going to save you from the dangers of bad airsoft guns. So if I was wealthy I certainly wouldn't think about investing in an airsoft field in California.

It didn't pass.
On another note mike: the best airsoft field is the the one that is largely flat and tree covered. SC VILLAGE is a paintball park, I don't recommend it for any airsoft games other than 'counterstrike' type ones
If a 'field' was developed for use in fieldcraft /maneuver games it would be great. the only real investment then is in the land and non invasive building like sandbagging positions. you can add wooded fencing etc, but the plywood mini shacks and other 'fast' structure solutions usually end up looking cheap and don't really improve the quality of play.

As far as being a legit field, talk to the city (if it's in the city limits) or the county if you're outside city limits, permits office about what you need to do. You're basically holding an "event" so it's something they probably have forms and instructions printed up. Most likely you'll need to have proof of insurance and portapotties.

The city I live in Thousand Oaks doesent allow an airsoft field, unless it is indoors. Were hoping that maybe if we can make one in Simi Valley, in a similar location such as the old Jericho Simi Valley that got closed down because of the land owner.

Anyway, trying to set up an outdoor airsoft field inside city limits is probably a non-starter. It seems like most cities don't want people running around with any kind of gun. Is there national forest land within reasonable driving distance? At least up here they seem a lot looser about what they allow, as long as you don't cause damage and use biodegradeable BB's. Wouldn't be able to put up permanent structures of course.

Hey! Anyone looking for a new squad member? I have a basic WWII US Infantry impression. Live in L.A. and looking to join a squad or group, dedicated reliable recruit. Thanks!

Wrong place to post this Croatia. Post this in the Unit Recruiting section.
As for the field, I sure wish I lived in California. Actually, living in Southern California is my life's dream.
