Hey I need to ask you guys a favor. I need a picture of the gearbox on the AGM MP40. It needs to be of the end of the left side. I undid the wiring so I just need that picture to figure out how to re-wire it. If anyone could do this for me I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Hey thanks remrat. On the first picture what is the bottom red wire attached too? Could you possibly take a picture showing that wire a bit better. Everything else on mine is connected except that wire. Again thank you very much!

The wire that hooks to the motor (not the battery) is the upper wire on the front its hard to tell with that black cover. Does that make sense? BTW I don't have access to a camera right now sorry.

Yes the wire that attaches to the motor is the one I am referring too. Its the one in the first picture you posted. There are two wires in the picture and they are soldered onto a metal piece which is made of copper I think. I am trying to figure out where that peice goes. One wire is still soldered onto the piece but the other isn't. I am not sure where the loose wire needs to be soldered onto. Dah, I should have taken a picture before taking it apart. I may have to wait until I can look at one of my friends or uncles MP40s.

I just looked at mine (I'm removing all that mechanism).
The switch is just 2 copper/brass contacts that has a copper/brass bar pressed between them to make the contact. It doesn't matter which red wire goes to which terminal on the switch.
The red wire from the battery goes to one terminal of the switch. The other terminal of the switch has a red wire going to the motor.
Tom, show us a pic of what you have now.

One wire goes each terminal. IMG_4017.jpg is almost at the right angle, but I can't see the terminals well enough to determine if it's right. I've attached a pic of my switch, outside the GB. Attachments:

Ah ok. The 2nd terminal on mine must have broke off. Hopefully I can buy or make a new one.

I won't need the wiring from mine, and could send it to you for the cost of postage, but I'm not ready to finish the mod yet, so I'm still not completely done with it. If you want full auto only, and no semi (like a real MP40, BTW), you could consider the mod Kalashnikov_kid has done here: www.ww2airsoft.org.uk/php/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=11718You'd only need to do the switch/MOSFET part, and could do it without the MOSFET if you get a decent switch.

I've never done any wiring or mosfet work but I guess I could try. I already took off the fire select switch to make it full auto only. When will you be done with the wiring?

Hopefully soon. I have the parts for my custom MOSFET unit, I just need to work out where to put the magnet for the sensor...

The event I need it for is on the 30th of July. I may be able to fix it myself, we'll see.

I can't do much on it until this weekend, so that's cutting it a bit too fine for me to get it to you.

You can just buy a trigger switch for the Ver.3 gearbox. Had to replace the switch on mine as well.
