just to let you know FJ snipers were so rare in ww2 that they were virtully non existent there were some but very few, you would need a Full fj kit depending on the era that you would want to portray but the g43 would limit you to later war impressions

Great pics, Adler. I love the non-regualtion headgear in the second pic. ;D
The third pic shows something we now call a "scout mount" scope arrangement. A few years ago someone loaned me a gun magazine with an article about that. Unfortunately, I didn't hang onto it. The gist of it was that early in the war the Wehrmacht came up with what we refer to as "designated marksmen." Not quite snipers but the better shots in a gruppe, equipped with Kar98's with long eye relief, low powered (1.5-2x) scopes. Unfortunately for the grunts, a shortage of sniper rifles meant that most of these DMR rifles were reallocated to snipers. I want to say that the designation for these rifles was "Adalbert B", at least that name is stuck in my head. I've done some Googling, but haven't found anything on it. Wish I'd hung onto the magazine.

I've got a ZF41 K98 (real rifle) and it's about the most pitiful excuse for a scope. It's 1.5 power and long eye relief. To do a sniper impression, you'd also need the appropriate scope can and binoculars. Andy
