Long johns are great and cheap and work for any impression.
So far I have only 2 guys attending. I am hoping this will change. We will get our regs in right after GAP.

You want jump boots, Double Buckles, or rough outs with leggings. You can save some $$ by getting black jump b oots and use the brown shoe paint. there is a thread on this site that shows how to do this.

They are probably the most important item in a impression, especially an airborne one. If you are going infantry as it sounds, you could go with the rough out boots and leggings or jump boots. The jump boots can be expensive but you could find black ones for around $50.00 or less and use the brown boot paint to color them correctly. I've done this myself for my son and his boots look better than my real ones. Here's the link for the boot paint:http://www.shoetreemarketplace.com/Meltonian_Nu_Life_Color_Spray_p/1003.htm You want to get Medium Brown #605. Cheers, Migs

I have leggings and i am going infantry. I will try to find rough outs. I really want a m1 garand but I don't want to spend a lot. Most of all I want a springfield.

ATF had rough outs for $79 for last month or so. Not sure if the sale is still on though. Regarding the Garand, the cheaper and most rewarding is to build your own. Can be done reasonably in one weekend. You'll need a cyma M14 and garand parts. Should be able to accomplish this for well under $300.

Has ICS ever anounced thier price for the m1. How often were trench coats worn. I saw on ebay a ww2 officer trench coat for a dollar so far plus shipping. Would this be correct for bastogne seeing how the troops would use whatever they could get there hands on.

To a lesser extent Mackinaws. Do your research!!! Google is your friend! Read books! Asking questions is great, but doing the research yourself is more rewarding, and you learn a lot more.

Get your Grenade orders in! Gentlemen, don't wait until the last minute to get your order in for this event. I have been informed that supplies are limited for the German Stick Grenades and we risk missing out on these beauties. Place your order (and make your payment) asap so I can place our bulk order asap to take advantage of their limited supplies. Like I previously mentioned, these grenades have added so much to our events that it has definitely changed the way you would normally conduct airsoft tactics. This is a must. In addition to the Grenades, we will be offering tactical pull pin smoke grenades made by the same company that makes the grenades. These smoke grenades burn from 1 to 2 minutes and cover an area of 25,000 cft. These are far superior to the "pineapple" smoke grenades we've used in the past. They put out a heavy thick smoke and will help in any attack. Prices for these are $8.00 each. So if you want to add to your fun at this event, get your orders in, if not, then I'll be the only one there throwing these things around ;D. All orders should be sent via paypal to SfcMigs@gmail.com. Thanks for your attention, Migs

Better than nothing I guess :/ We will count on you and your team as re-enforcements ;D There will be plenty of fighting going on all day Sunday, so like I said, we can use the re-enforcements. Perhaps you guys can come as Patton's Third Army!

Important Gentlemen, As the event grows ever so closer (a mere 46 days away) the prospect of this event not coming to fruition is becoming possible with each passing day. This is one of several messages/plea to get players to commit, register and submit their prepayment that until (hopefully now) has fallen on deaf ears. While I am fully aware of how life works and how easy it is to just do things last minute, this CAN NOT be the case regarding this event. As of today, I have a miserable registration count of NINE players (3 of them from me), and no prepayments. While I have received positive messages from a lot of you stating your intentions to attend, the cold fact remains that without increased registration numbers and prepayments submitted, this event will go by the wayside. As I have explained previously, the field owner from Ground Zero has changed his rental terms thus requiring a large non-refundable deposit and increased field fee for us to use his facility. While in the case of inclement unplayable stormy weather, he will allow us to re-schedule with no additional monetary commitment, but he will not allow us to reserve the field without a large deposit. As event producer, I have no problem with stepping up and making this financial commitment on behalf of the event, but within reason. No one in their right mind would go forward with an event that has only 9 players registered and no prepayments. I am working hard with many of our members to try and make this event as memorable and fun as the last event I produced ("Day of Days") this past June. But this will not be possible to accomplish without all of your help, cooperation and commitments. Therefore, if you are planning on attending, please get your registration AND prepayment of $55.00 in asap. Please send registrations and prepayments (via paypal) to SfcMigs@gmail.com. For those of you who do not have paypal, please contact me through PM to make further arrangements. Grenade and smoke grenade orders can also be placed using the same email and paypal account previously mentioned. (Grenades are $10 and smoke grenades are $8). This too has to be done asap as I need time to process, place and receive our orders in time for the event. The time is NOW gentlemen to act. Not tomorrow, next week or certainly not next month if we want this event to happen. It's already been over two months since our last event, do we really want to wait until June to do another? So let's get off our duffs, step up and make this thing happen. I will periodically post our registration numbers as they HOPEFULLY will come pouring in. I thank you all for your attention and cooperation and look forward to your registrations. With fingers crossed, Joe Migs

Cool! We get to spar against Hornet. Game on bud, our forces shall give you a run for your money Looking forward to this one. If the weather continues on this path we shall have a balmy event and comfortable nights. Already planning the whole German camp, as usual it shall be filled with period sounds, tents, music and props. Will start posting more on what we will be bringing in the next few weeks. Lets give these yanks something to remember, we need all the Axis forces you can muster. Get those registrations is and let's get this year started with a bang. If anyone wants to help out I would love an assistant to make sure we are 99% period correct. Just PM me if you want to volunteer and have lots of Heer experience. It is hard to believe it is the end of January and March is just around the corner. This will be a grandiose affair, I will make sure to coordinate with Migs and Hornet to ensure we have the maximum props to make this a memorable event. ""Soldiers of the Reich! This day you are to take part in an offensive of such importance that the whole future of the war may depend on its outcome."

BRAVO Gentlemen
This is more like it. Way to go. Let's keep the momentum going and keep those registrations coming in.
I'll be at Fort Indian Gap this Saturday (only as a spectator) and will be meeting up with HornetWSO and hopefully a few others. Hope to pick up some Kool props for the event and looking forward to seeing some friendly faces.
