Attention all players Well it's only 5 days to our event, Bastogne. So far weather report is good (knock wood) and everything is in place. CO's have been briefed, registration is good, now onto the particulars. Here is a brief outline of what each player should expect and some helpful guidelines: Friday, players are welcome to go to the field for setup. Gate code is 7344. You can also camp out there if you wish. Period correct campsites will be in the following locations: U.S. will be at the Firebase/TOC area, right next to the parking lot. German camp will be on the hilltop at High Point. This area will be directly behind the back village, which we have designated as “FOYâ€. SaturdayPlayers can arrive anytime after 7AM. Registration will begin at 8:30AM. All players must check in at registration regardless if they have prepaid or not. You must check in, submit/sign your release waiver form and collect your ID card. The ID card is your proof of payment and registration and must be returned at the end of the event. In addition, these cards will be incorporated into our event game play, therefore it is essential that everyone keeps their ID on them at all times. Waiver: docs.google.com/fileview?id=0By-0....1YjdjNDdi&hl=en. 10:00AM: Safety briefing begins. **Safety briefing** I can not express the importance of the safety briefing. This is not only for safety rules, but for rules of engagement, re-spawn rules and locations. Everyone must attend. 10:30AM: Group picture, then players move out. It is very important to listen and obey your commanding officers. They are privy to information/intelligence that you are not aware of. They in accordance with the event producer will essentially be running the event and it's flow. This will encompass all Battle scenarios, breaks in the action, chow time and shut down. Communication is essential. Sunday8:00AM to 9:00AM: Breakfast, CO's check in with event producer and coordinate start time. 10:00AM or so: Game play starts. 3:00PM or so: Shut down and clean up. **Shut down time will be determined by a number of factors with the most important being the amount of day light left for clean up. It is important that we leave the field in the same condition as to how we found it. Please dispose of all your trash properly and in a courteous fashion. Supply Suggestions/Notes All players should make the following preparations for this event: Prepare for cold weather. Proper cold weather clothing, hats, gloves, thermals, overcoats, extra socks. Hand Warmers. Bring at least one bundle of firewood. Bring enough food and water for two days. Keep spare gun batteries in a warm place. Wrap in socks with a hand warmer, keep in vehicle if possible. Bring a period flashlight. WW2 period shelters are allowed on field of play. All modern tents shall camp in the parking lot. Cameras and Video Cameras are welcomed and encouraged. If any player wants to take time out to be a field photographer, alert your CO and we will make arrangements for you not to be a combatant for that period of time. All players must have Ansi rated safety glasses, goggles or paintball masks on at all times when on the field of play. **There will be Dunkin Donuts refreshments served each morning for this event. This will include Coffee, donuts, and muffins. Players should have enough food and rations with them to last the two days we are there. With all this being said............................[/size]

Listen UP! Elements of the 1st and 6th SS Panzer Divisions have broken through in the Ardennes Forset. They've over run the 28th Infantry and elements of the 4th. All Officers report to respective HQ's, All passes are cancelled. Enlisted men report to their barracks and platoon leaders.Once we arrive in Bastogne, we will dig in tight as a tick. Even though there was a limited supply of ammo in camp, we will beg, borrow and steal what ever ammo we can find.Even if the Panzers cut the road to the south and we're surrounded. Just remember, We're paratroopers, We're suppose to be surrounded. We will hold the line until our re-supply arrives. Prisoners will be searched, interrogated and shot if necessary. We will dig in and fight. We will never surrender. And once we defend Bastogne, we will push forward into Foy. Of course when we get hungry, we'll have some chowBut think twice before you accept a smoke.
And when everything is done, this is the look every German will have!

Bastogne minus 2
I will be at the field on Friday around noon or so with my work party. Everyone is welcomed to come by and set up their camp, defenses, etc. The gate code is 7344. If you are the last one to leave the field, please lock the gate. Just a few points of interest; First off, the weather. Once again we have been fortunate to have nice weather for our event. However, it should be a little cold on Saturday (around 30°), but rather nice on Sunday. If you are camping out Saturday, please bring warm clothing, sleeping bags, heavy wool blankets and Hand warmers. Also, please contribute to the campsite by bringing at least one bundle of firewood. Camping: For those with non period tents, camping will be allowed ONLY in the parking lot. If you plan on arriving on Friday for set up, please set up close to the entrance of the lot. If your setting up on Saturday, I'll guide you through it. Of course all players are welcomed to camp in the parking lot as well, but are encouraged to setup camp at their respective campsites/bases if they have a period correct tent. Campsites: The Allied campsite will be at the TOC area right next to the parking lot. This is our B.A.S. (Battalion Aid Station) The German Campsite will be on the hill right above High Point. This area will be "out of play" and used only for camping and re-spawn. There will be NO FIRING into or out of this area. This area can not be used as a OP or Snipers perch. If your up there, your either re-spawning or out of play. Any questions, please refer to either myself or The German CO, Cryonics. Food and Water: One of our members has graciously donated Dunkin Donuts from one of his stores for Saturday and Sunday morning breakfast. Players should plan on bringing their own supplies of food and water for the other meals of the day. There will be Hot Soup, Coffee and Hot Chocolate at B.A.S. for Allied forces. Captured or surrendered Germans "May be" allowed to have a little nourishment if we are feeling generous. Cryonics is in charge of the German meals. Either way, all players should plan on bringing food and water with them. All plastic water bottles, and coolers must be kept out of site and disposed of properly. Registration Table: Registration for ALL players will begin at 8:30AM. ALL players, prepaid or otherwise must check in and submit their release waiver. Players will receive a ID paper/paid receipt from me. This is proof of your payment and this must be returned at the end of the event. This paper may be incorporated into the game play, so it must be on your person at all times. Please remember, fees for non-prepaid and walk-up players is $70.00 cash only at the field. There is also a limited supply of German Grenades left for sale. If you want me to reserve any, please PM me asap. Grenades are $10.00 Game play: All of us seemed really excited about this event and all indications point to a really good time. We should have some strong numbers for this event (more than 40) with some fresh blood in the mix. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again, and meeting some new faces. Travel safe and see you all on Saturday. Migs

For the Germans: Other than the Dunkin Donuts that is available for everyone both Saturday and Sunday morning, we will not be providing food during lunches and dinners for the Germans. You are encouraged to bring your own food. We will have campfires if you want to cook or you can bring some bread and cold cuts to keep it simple. Also make sure you bring plenty of water, you will be amazed at how much water one can consume in a day after running around. Please keep all waters in either period canteens or non marked glass bottles. No plastic bottles in visible places. Last time we had several large unmarked wine bottles that we filled with water that where placed in large picnic baskets and that worked fine. I will be there Friday around 4PM to bring some of the supplies up to the German camp area. I will not however spend the night and will return early Saturday morning to finish the German set up and spend the night Saturday. Technically game play does not start until Saturday morning so anyone is welcome to stay Friday night but all period rules do not begin until Saturday. Looking forward to seeing you all there, we have lots of cool scenarios and props for all of you to enjoy.
