Delighted to see a straight mag 6mm version holding 30 rounds and obviously designed to fire semi automatic but 220 to 250 FPS with 20 gram is going to blow for skirmishing. Assuming it is even reliable. (Which most gas blow backs are not.) At $418 plus shipping from Asia it's just too much of a risk for me. By my eyes it looks like it is set up 134a gas like most Japanese gas guns. Green gas would up the FPS but probably destroy the gun.

Then why would it say "220 to 250 FPS w/ .20 gram 134a" In the specifications?

I went ahead and emailed WGC shop about the gas operating system. I'll post the response when I get it ASAP.

Then why would it say "220 to 250 FPS w/ .20 gram 134a" In the specifications? That's wierd, the straight magazine Co2 version is the only new M1 carbine by marushin. It even looks like the same mag from the Co2 one they were talking about

It could be a miss print. I sure hope the FPS is...That seems way too low even for a Japanese gun which are typically held below 290 by law (japanese law) but usually hedge as close to that as possible.

Ok I got a reply from WCG shop. Here it is:
Hello! I have a question over the M1 Carbine GBB with straight mags. Marushin said that the new rifle had a Co2 operating system. On the product description on your website, it says that the power source is 134a. Can you please clarify this issue with me? Thank you.
Thank you for your inquiry, Please be inform that co2 version not yet release from Marushin. Thanks,
-- Best Regards Allen Wong WGC ( Hong Kong )
Huh, apparently Marushin made an HFC 143 a variant fo the new M1 carbine. That's very peculiar, I have never heard of a 134 a variant. Any thoughts on this guys?

I think other than the original M1 6mm "cock each time variant", the blow back, semi automatics were always intended for 134 which is why most of the guns using greengas quickly ate their young.
Traditionally the Japanese blow back guns are always set up for 134 where the Chinese guns with more poorous seals are typically able to handle the greengas/ propane

I dont see why everyone is looking for the marushoin whis have been known to break, when there is a conversion kit for the KJ works 10/22. which are known to be reliable and are built to withstand green gas. i personallly have a KJW 1911a1 that is fantastic. and the kit is made by RA tech, a company that is known in the gas gun world for creating aftermarket parts that fix known flaws in other gas guns. If i do finally jump into WW2 airsofting i will definately only go in that direction.

That's a good thing if its the manually operated version. From what I've heard, they're very accurate and were plenty reliable

They were by far the best variant of that gun. I had one with extra magazines and it was one of my favorite airsoft guns of all time. Extremely accurate and completely reliable. The attached finger guide though unrealistic enabled you to cock it very quickly and provided a pretty decent rate of fire while keeping it pointed down range throughout. (essentially you cock with your support hand and never have to remove your trigger hand). This attachment is easily removed so visually the carbine can be made to look quite good.
This is the only skirmish able version of the Marushin carbine at present in my opinion. Glad to see they brought it back.

I'm too much of a perfection Nazi to own one of those. If I were to get one of these, it HAS to be semi automatic.

personally, I always thought the single shot ones were a bit cool regardless. Part of me kinda hopes they will show up in the states, im hesitant about ordering overseas.

Id actually rather have that one, it's been proven skirmishable. The only skirmishable M1 Carbine avialible

the original Marushin 6mmnon blow back worked spectacularly well on Green gas and shot very accurately at around 400 FPS. (Gas so give or take). it was an excellent airsoft gun and absolutely skirmish able. I,d buy another without hesitation and really enjoyed it. nice loud report, fired every time and was a real nice replica. liminate the bayonet lug, stick a stock pouch on it with the proper sling, age it a bit and you have a sweet little gun.
