ATF is the only store that would do that, I met the owner in real life and he seems like he's ALWAYS pissed off ;D

I haven't met the owner though I've met some of his workers at Reenactments they have attended. All in all they were really nice and helpful.

$600-700 isn't very bad. Jankes cost 600, and ATFs are way better than Janke. And He won'y have many left over, because they're custom ordered tunics. Howwver, on facebook, he announced that because he has the patterns and wool, he may contract them out to an asian maker, and sell them for $100-$200. I just want an Italian wool set

Very old topic, but I just want to add Toppots I believe is a scam. There is a thread on US Militaria Forum about it.

I'm surprised that people actually buy from them. Some of the guns are 2-3x normal price

Ironically, wwiiguns.com is what got me interested in airsoft! I saw the ww2 guns in a magazine I bought. After going online and seeing how much they wanted, I was amazed anyone would pay that much! I ended up searching around the web a bit and finding the cyma thompsons! Just a funny thought, especially after hearing the bad rap that they appearently deserve (I have never done business with them, and I never will after hearing the horror stories!)

Me three lol. I was going to buy Marushin's first model M1 Carbine from there, before learning about their bad reputation.

Did some updating for the first time in two years! I'm surprised at how bad my grammar was only two years ago, lol.

I bought a large batch of Airborne pocket sets from TOPPOTS many many years ago and waited for what seemed an eternity. No replys or responses of any kind to what I thought were courteous and resonable inquiries seeking information and assurances that the order was being processed. When I finally received them I was quite pleased with them and they suited my purposes wonderfully.
I wrote him to thank him for the product and for finally processing the order and provided friendly advice on improving his customer service. He lambasted me for suggesting he needed to learn anything about running his business from anyone and if I thought it was easy, to grow a set of balls and start my own company. This is not a nice fellow.
I would heartily recommend that you avoid doing business with him.

I have had good transactions with Kelley's Military (www.kelsmilitary.com) which does not seem to be on your list. About the same quality as the Asian vendors for similar prices, but the merchandise is stateside already so none of the long shipping times. Some of their items on special can be excellent deals. Also excellent and friendly customer service, at least in my experience.

Terribly sorry to hear about your experience, totally not professional and a big deterrent from his business.I was looking at the site and wanted to get some cheap WWI French uniforms but after reading your experience from Toppots I very much have second thoughts. In all at least you got the products which counts but like you said, never from him again.Luckilly Droopaille has provided a link to a site on here in France that has what I'm looking for that has WWI stuff

this might be helpful for researching french stuff. They have their stuff specifically made like the coats and pants I believe and they look nicer then the stuff on ebay I just don't remember who makes it for them

Youchuhune is a seller on EBAY and I have received a number of items from them that I have been pleased with. (Camo helmet covers, camo smocks and wool field caps). In each case I bid rediculously low on offerings that included free shipping and while my "win" rate is very low when I have "won" they shipped quickly (considering its comng from China) and the quality of items have been fine. I'm sure they are not considered top quality by elitist but considering I quickly age and tater the items and loan them out they are perfect for my needs.

Looking for some feedback on Hikishop German pants, either wool or HBT,my question is are they hardy enough for the rigors of battle? Am starting an SS impression & realize Hiki are are the mid-lower scale of things but think I'd rather spend a little more on a Tunic from elsewhere & get pants from Hiki if they're tough enough.any info on this would be much appreciated
