Are there any regulation for most games, such as: -Fps for different types of guns -bb weight for any or all types of guns -restrictions for magazine type, and carrying loose ammo -the use of support weapons, such as mg teams, mortar teams, or light arty teams.
Thanks!

FPS Limit - Usually under 400 BB Weight - Depends on the FPS Ammo Restrictions - Not usually Support Weapons - Some mortars are really dangerous and not allowed, but most are fine. MG's are, but it can't be too powerful, a 500 fps MG and someones going to need to have a BB removed from their skin

Around here 400 fps with .20 BB's seems to be the norm, with some groups having higher fps for snipers, but a longer minimum engagement distance.
One of the milsim teams limits players to 4 standard or midcap mags (about 400-500 BB's).

I was being a smartass with my response, thanks for being a good sport! each field or group is different and even some events vary the standards. For WW 2 events we try to have most players limited to semi auto with as many low caps as they have. FPS w 20 gram BBs are the upper limit. (there are adjustable scales that will translate what that means with assorted weight BBs) For semi auto, bolt action rifles the FPS equivalent is 550 FPS with 20 gram. For regular weapons minimum engagement ranges are 20 feet ( one car length). For bolt action rifles at higher FPS the minimum engagement range is 50 feet. ( 2 1/2 car lengths). A crew served weapon is generally authorized one weapon for every 12 men and they are authorized to use a box magazine. one in four players can have a full auto weapon. (Thompson, MP 40, MP44 or BAR). Usually there are more Thompsons in play than that but they put them on semi. these type of restrictions really separate the tactics and game play from normal skirmish events and make the battles fa more enjoyable (in my opinion). it's tough to get folks to go along with it but once they do they buy in.

That s a cool deal. Obviously when main battle rifles become more readily available it will be easier to set up restrictions and easier to have them adhered to. I'd eventually love to see something on the order of perhaps 3 rounds to one for loads on assorted weapon (24 round loads for Garands, 60 for Thompsons etc). With fpe limits on assorted weapons. 400 for rifle ammo 300 for submachine guns. The reality is that will probably never come about but it would add a dynamic with regard to weapon selection and preference. It would also lend itself well to team work and tactics. As it is increasing the number of players on semi and sticking with low caps helps prevent engagements from becoming stalemate BB feats.

The three for one idea seems pretty logical to me. It seems like a lot of people you have to tap once or twice just to get their attention before you can kill them. Not that they're intentionally cheating. At longer ranges BB's just don't have that much impact and people tend to be preoccupied in a firefight.

Where I play, The Full Auto AEG FPS limit is 400 with a 20ft MED, DMR's Are semi only and have 450 FPS with a MED of 50ft, Sniper rifles are allowed 550 FPS with a MED of 100ft. Support Machine guns are 450 FPS with a MED of 50ft.
MED is Minimum Engagement Distance.
