I thought I'd start a new thread for everyone to show off they're homemade hats. It can be any hat, as long as its from the 1900-1945 period. Here are 3 of mine, a late war infantry crusher, a bergmuetze, and an ss panzer crusher. So don't be afraid, just post the pics of your homemade caps Attachments:

This is a Cap i recently stitched, My Mum sewed the insignia's on (cant figure out those.) I had a few Wool Scraps in the Field-Blue/Grey. This is my best one (first ww2 piece i made a few modern hats, i have a East German Cap i based it off of.) Attachments:

can you post a bigger pic? it looks damn good from the tiny pic so far :)I tried an m40 side cap today, and it was terrible, never finished it. Plan on making a lot of Panzer M43s to sell, maybe crushers are really my thing, but I do the occasional Bergmuetze/M43.

I've made a lot of modern hats, it's my little side hobby. And no sorry I don't have a good camera I only have my ipod lol and thanks! I'd love to stitch other hats like crushers, where do you get dimensions for them? Or do you use a model

Luft crushers are hard, because of the bill and the mohair band. For my patternsm, theyre all made by me. M43s, IMHO, are harder than crushers, since they need a certain "look" , while crushers have no real form, you can change peak height, band width, etc.
