I live on Long Island and host a lot of games at GZA, but I would be in for a PA game as well. Where HornetWSO goes, I go!

I live in CT but I'd go to PA if it was a weekend thing, because its too long a drive for just one day.

It seems that most of the attendance lives in New England. But I do think we need a change of fields for up coming events. I would love for anyone to offer up any suggestions/insight for fields we could have an event at.
I have no problem organizing/hosting them. But it seems all the fields I come across either want too much to rent or some other issue with having a weekend immersion.
I'll keep searching and welcome all help.

I have a field in mind that is very close to where I am. Lashe's Paintball and Airsoft. Its a reletively small business but he does own a very large field to game on with many bunkers and such. I was thinking of hosting an event there next year, but i have never done anything of the sort before. I already talked to the owner about the possibility of a weekend event, and the rent per player is very low. He mostly specializes in paintball at the moment, bur has expressed that he wants to resurrect the interest in airsoft at his location. It looks promising, and is very close to the other airsoft field in Amsterdam NY so anyone who has attended events there shouldn't have a problem with travel distance.

I would travel where ever needed to get a good WWII game in. PA/ NY would be great but would have to be a weekend play event. I more than likely could get other YD members to travel to an event. We have travelled all over the east coast for airsoft and paintball weekend events.

Im helping to host the Hurtgen forest game this Feb in Perth NY. Im guessing from where you are in NJ it would be about a 3 hr drive?

Yeah, and for only a 1 day event, its not worth it. If ti was an overnight event, than I would. Im also very busy around then.

I'm really trying to make it and I live in Michigan! Even cutting through Canada it's a 8 and a half hour drive! A 3 hour drive is nothing. But if you could extend the game to both Friday Saturday and sunday that would be somewhat better.

It's about a 3 1/2 hour drive from where I live, so that's 7 hours there and back. I'll sit this one out, maybe next time

Issah, if you can locate an airsoft or paintball field down where you are, you could host your own games whenever you would like. I know you could draw players from the GZA area, along with virginia players. I know I would travel to such an event, so player base wouldnt be an issue. You would just need to do some research yourself to find a suitible location and host an initial game to draw interest to the area.

Alright, Ill try that! there's an "unnofficial" field a mile down the road from me, a local airsoft team owns it and many other teams play there with their permission, Ill see if they can let us use it for an overnight game!

Issah, if you do a game in NJ, I'd make it if at all possible timing-wise.

Especially for your first game, don't you think it would be better not to have a conflict with another relatively nearby event? The Huertgen forest game is on 2/23, and I imagine some of the participants would have to choose between the two, so it has the possibility of hurting both your game and theirs. I'm about mid-way between the two sites and I'd hate to have to choose, but if push came to shove I'd probably go with the more established hosts. I imagine I'm not alone in that.
If you scheduled something for a few weeks later in March, I would certainly do my best to be there, and probably so would some other people who are planning on doing the Huertgen forest scenario. Just my two cents.
