The one thing I don't understand is why don't you make an African campaign down there! You have the perfect climate and environment to have Brits fighting the DAK! I would definitely go to a game like that. Good impressions nonetheless! (Although that looks like an unusual shade of green. May just be the camera)

It looks like hes wearing m1943 and for the marines a dark shade HBT, I think the color pretty good.

@ ScottCollins: I have a buddy that I'm trying to convince to do British SAS based on the Africa campaigns. He currently has the Brodie helmet (original) and a Lee Enfield. He doesn't have the uniform, but I'm trying to help the guy out. The daylight is a little funny cause it was evening. I also noticed that my M43 jacket was a slightly darker shade of OD versus the pants. Not sure what happened when I got the different color but I figured it was close.
@2nd Bat: Thanks! I'll keep posting more work as I progress!
@ patrick129th: Yup they are M1943s based off of later war post D-Day operations. Not to be confused with the ones Easy company wore in Band of Brothers, they were still wearing M41s I believe. I let my friend James borrow my HBTs. They don't have the Marine insignia and I think they are Vietnam era HBTs but I figured they were close. I still need a helmet cover and the suspenders with the "O" rings. Thanks for the input!

The Vietnam HBT's look exactly like dark shade ww2 HBT's, and on band of brothers they were wearing m1942's and in the Ardennes they were wearing m1943's with trench coats, artics and other cold weather gear they could find.

I see that one of your Germans has a nice Bar98 in progress! Always good to see those in the field!

Don't worry about the different color shade of pants. That's how it always was.

Nice work on the impressions! I'm not much of an expert on American impressions, but the German ones are pretty solid outside of a few details. The terrain you are on reminds me of a trip I went on to Italy. If you want a theme, I would say Italy would be an excellent choice. The Italian front saw reinforcements being drawn in from all over, from both tropical areas, and non tropical areas. Therefore you see a wide variety of uniforms being worn. Not only could you incorporate those wishing to use tropical impressions, but also those who like the more "continental" uniforms as well. Otherwise, lookin' good!

@ Joe: I live in the Gilbert/Mesa area. Been airsofting at places like Vanguard indoor arena and out at Elliot and Ellsworth field. Not sure if I want to get my uniform THAT dirty. But I have gotten plenty of dust on it from the field. I try to shake it out after skirmishes since this is the desert.
