Hey guys,
I come to you today with a quick, easy, down and dirty tutorial on using Imgur.com to upload your photos to and use them place photos into your posts. Imgur is free, easy, and doesn't have congested pages like photobucket or any of the other image hosting sites have.
1. Sign up for a profile here at imgur.com/
2. Hit "Upload Images" button on the top left:
3. You will get a window that pops up something like this. It may be different on other devices, but it should all have the same options:
3.5. If you uploading multiple images at the same time as part of a group, or all from a same project, should get a screen like this and be able to create an album, and name it.
4. After the upload(s), Imgur should bring you right to the picture or album you just uploaded. From there, just right click on the image, and select "Copy image address" and your device will save the image's web address. Alternatively, there should be a set of links to use on the side of the picture to copy and paste, or a gear icon on the photo that will you give you the same links to copy and paste. You'll want to copy the "Direct Link" for this.
So, then you click on the "Insert Image" function on the forum post, the little icon under the subject bar with the photograph on it, and right next to the icon with the film board on it, and paste the image web address you just saved into the box (delete whatever text is already there). Hit "Insert Image" and boom you got the image on the post.
Thats how you do it. Again, it might be different from device to device. I'm doing this from a Windows laptop, so it might be different on Apple and Android devices, but I'm sure that Imgur is just as simple to use and will walk you through everything for your specific device.
Hope this helps!
