Has anyone made a custom Krag Jorgensen for themselves? I'm trying to get together a Danish RDA kit, and I haven't had any luck finding a good rifle for it's completion.

I received a question on the Numrich bolt handle. Here's a pic of one on the Mosin project I never finished (because I can't figure out how to do the magazine). I used one of these on a VZ24, also. It's just about perfect size for a VSR10, but a little undersized for a BAR10. It's Gunparts Co part # 1045000. About $7. imgur.com/rCZ2jgJ

I am not sure what is your issue with the magazine. I am trying to fit one of these with a AEG hop-up for a different build. www.airsoft-a4.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=3889I won't say it is one of the most reliable mags working with AEG hop directly - it gives lots of double/triple feeds, but this is another story. also it needs a little tap from time to time to continue feeding. But I guess you can mode to add the lips from a VSR mag to hold the BB and resolve this. BTW - I would be delighted to see more pictures from this build.

The main issue with the mag on the Mosin is I'm lazy. Also, the way the stock is shaped with that upward curve to the lower barrel band. I'll get back to it one of these days.

Because I have a good friend Kregg Jorgenson (a true Vietnam war hero and author and on top of that just an overall great guy). I have wanted to build an airsoft version of the rifle. I really like the job you did on yours. Awesome! No reason in my opinion to make the krag side magazine functional just go with the usual descreit bottom loading VSR magazine camouflaged to look like the stock. I never asked Kregg if his parents knew about the rifle when he was born? Renegadecow, really fabulous work on the stock and fine details. Inspiring!

Beautifully done. Which rifle did you use as the base, and what parts did you make, and which did you buy premade

The video link just below the pictures does a great job of explaining all that. perhaps the link didn't work for you? Any of the VSR style airsoft guns could be used. My guess is it was a MP001 Cyma or a JG BAR 10. Obviously he fabricated virtually all of the needed parts which is so impressive. Fabulous job.

Wonder what tools he used? I have access to a large amount of machinery, so I will probably end up making one.

Used a jigsaw, router, power planer, angle grinder and rotary tool. None of the metal parts are milled. They're either folded or built up from aluminum sheets that are brazed and/or epoxied together then ground/filed to shape.
